Sarah and I were married in June of 2008 and moved to the Ashland area with the hopes of setting up a small farm and B&B. We closed on this gorgeous old Victorian with 3 out buildings and 15 acres the day before our wedding. We have set up the small farm part, now we are working on the B&B part!
We are both outdoor enthusiasts that love nature and animals. We both enjoy gardening, cooking, baking, hiking, biking, training dogs, photography, and sitting on the front porch watching the world go by!
Ron is a carpenter by trade working with a local group of Amish that does everything from metal roofs to patios to pole barns. He also does local remodel jobs as his "full-time" job lets him. He is also always doing odd jobs around the farm!
Sarah is a veterinary technician by trade and is currently working a ER and specialty practice in Columbus as an anesthesia technician. She is the poultry expert! She is also the landscaper around here.
At any one time we have laying chickens, laying ducks, breeding chickens and ducks, and free range broilers. We also have a house dog named Lane, a poultry guard dog named Rusty, and a barn cat named Stinky (there's a story behind that! Please ask us, if your curious!).
We also raise a large garden each summer that supplies us with most of our produce for the year. We pride ourselves in cooking with ingredients that for the most part come off our small farm and/or local farms!
Welcome to our site! We hope to see you soon!
