Our beautiful open-plan house in a quiet Hove Street is just 5 mins walk to the beach, 10 min by bus to Brighton with on-street parking available. Spacious & versatile room, it can be twin/double or triple, on the ground floor, opposite the toilet.
1930's house with contemporary conversion, creating a stunning open plan kitchen/diner looking onto the garden. Depending on the weather you can enjoy a simple breakfast (choice of cereals, toast, jams etc, orange juice, tea/coffee) at the breakfast bar or in the garden.
The bedroom downstairs is very spacious and can sleep up to 3 adults. The room has a double bed and a single day bed so can suit a variety of requirements…large single, double for a couple, twin for friends or treble for family or friends that are happy to share a bed. The comfortable day-bed means that there's a sofa space to chill-out.
This large, bright, airy room has been totally redecorated in Jan 2016 with truly gorgeous Osborne & Little wallpaper and Farrow & Ball Paint… the room is fresh and funky with plenty of space for your things.
You will have access to free WiFi and there is a desk and chair in the room should you need to do any work.
Artwork is mainly from local artists and photographers.
We have welcomed guests from around the UK and Internationally and received great reviews. Please don't hesitate to contact me for advice and information. Happy to ensure you get the most out of this fabulous city.
No need to bring towels as these are included, there's a hairdryer, hot water bottles and adaptor plugs for overseas visitors.
Access to breakfast area in the morning (and garden if sunny) and obviously bathroom with shower/bath and toilet.
A warm welcome awaits you...happy to tell you how to get around, best places to eat and whatever else you wish to find out about Brighton to get the most out of your stay.
Hove is just a stones throw from Brighton so all the benefits of being on the door step of the city but without the noise. It's a very friendly neighbourhood with a local shopping road home to Drury's head office & cafe (tea and coffee providers), bakery, delicatessen, flower shop etc. A real locals meeting point. The beach is just 5 minutes down the road and there are three parks with children's playgrounds on our doorstep. Parking is always expensive and a nightmare in Brighton and we have on-street voucher parking right outside our house available for an extra £5.00 a day.
The area is brilliantly served by buses heading into Brighton every 5-10 minutes. We are only about 10 minutes away by bus from Brighton. Hove train station with access to London is just a 15 minute walk.
If coming by train, I would recommend Hove station, taxi's outside cost £5 approx to my house or just a 15 min walk if you are travelling light.
The house also offers a beautiful, cosy double room upstairs decorated in the style of a boutique hotel so if there's a few of you we have the space. With two rooms available there may be other guests staying whilst you are here. My lovely, very well-behaved 4 year old is likely to be here to welcome you if she is not staying at her father's house.

The house also offers another beautiful double room decorated in yellow and duck-egg blue. With two rooms available there may be other guests staying whilst you are here. My lovely, very well-behaved 6 year old is likely to be here to welcome you if she is not staying at her father's house. A simple breakfast is provided as a gesture of goodwill…it is a simple selection of cereal/ toast/ jams, tea/coffee and orange juice etc. Please help yourself. If you have any special dietary needs you will need to make your own arrangements/bring specific items.
We love our house and would just like you to love it like we do. When you come in at night if you could keep the noise down that would be appreciated. Please make sure you close the front door properly as some guests have been known to leave the house and the door was found wide open for anyone to enter! No smoking in the house but we have a garden for that. Please use the bath mat when having a shower and open the window slightly after use. Also ensure your windows are closed before leaving the house as your room is on the ground floor. Latest check-in is 10pm. No showers after 10.30pm.

Young at heart 40 something (Ok well I've just turned 50), single with a fun and well-behaved five year old. We enjoy everything that Brighton has to offer...the cultural May festival, walks in the downs, picnics on the beach and when the little one is asleep the nightlife too. Enjoy cooking, entertaining, the arts. I have hosted many foreign language students and travellers and love learning about new cultures. Being from a hospitality background I love welcoming guests and making them feel at home. I've travelled extensively in my time mainly backpacking but luxury too ...favourite cities include Buenos Aires, Barcelona, New York, Penang and Vancouver. I belong to a wine group but we don't take ourselves seriously, learning to Lindyhop, I've run a pop-up restaurant before, enjoy the arts and dining out whenever possible (depending on my finances of course!) Carpe diem!
