I loved Sabhi 's appartment(URL HIDDEN) We had a lovely time. It was so good, i booked 7 days and ended up staying 10!
His nephew picked us up from the train station and got us some provisions to make us feel at home. The appartement is centrally located right next to the medina, so we could wonder into the centre of Sousse easily and you are very near the train station. Taxis are cheap so you can either walk to Bau Jaffeur beach or get a taxi/louage to Port el Kantoui/ Water park. I also visited Kairuoan (via Louage), Monastir Medhua (via Metro) and the Sousse Museum in the Kasbah/city walls. The Medina is interesting with historic souks including a good fish and vegetable market
The flat itself is spacious and modern with a new stylish kitchen, fully equipped. The bathroom is nice with a good shower and jet bath. There is a great balcony with views out to the harbour where I sat out with my evening drink and watched the twinkling lights. There is a good washing machine to wash out towels after the beach on a seperate balcony etc. The security is good with an onsite concierge. Monoprix in the adjoining block was a bonus with late opening to pick up all your last minute ingredients- harissa, olives, baguettes, cold drinks etc.
There is some building works going on at the back of the appartment but it didn't affect us. The traffic from the road wasn't noisy. There is air conditioning in the lounge and the double bedroom. There are publinets around (Av Mohammed Mahroouf/ The Medina/ behind the Corniche etc) in order to access internet but there isnt internet in the flat although there's a cable TV so I could watch BBC World.!!!
One word of warning if you visit Soussa in Ramadan dont forget to bring Alcohol with you from duty free as no alcohol sold in supermarkets at all. I had to go into a bar in Port Kantoui and buy one for 32 TDwhich wasn't cheap!
All in all a very comfortable, clean and modern appartment where you can make yourself very at home. I would recommend. Thanks Sabhi to you and your friendly nephew Mohammed.
