Don't stay in Poughkeepsie when you can stay in this very well maintained two-story charmer on a dead-end street. Placed among other nice homes and backed up to an old stone church. Excellent landscaping and plantings, decking, fenced in yard.
This rental is for a private Queen room, with bathroom inside of my home. My wife and/or myself may or may not be home.
Reservations for 1-2 people include one queen bed in a private room with full bathroom.
The house was built in 1839 and is one of the oldest in the area. It is conveniently located between NYC and Albany. 1 Hr. drive to Albany, 1 hour train ride to NYC.
The Gunks, Catskills, and Hudson Highlands are just a short drive away. There are plenty of bike riding options and Kayak / canoe options.
Other AirBnb options in the area might seem more affordable, but be sure to check the area. The City of Poughkeepsie is not where you will be wanting to spend a relaxing night or two. Highland is conveniently located right across the Hudson river and provides a historic upstate New York feel, with antique stores, farmer markets, wineries, cafe's, craft beer bars, and access to the picturesque Walkway Over The Hudson. The Hamlet of Highland is sure to not disappoint.
