Simple, cosy 1970's touring caravan beside a dramatic redundant slate quarry at the head of a wooded river valley, with delicious breakfasts from our adjoining bakery, Tracebridge Sourdough. Open fire, birdsong, quiet and dark night skies. We run baking and fermenting classes and these can be combined with a stay. Every Friday we make pizzas for the village and there's often music. We are 1 mile off National Cycle Route 3.
No smoking please and great care taken around the dangerous quarry edge. Dogs welcome if they can sleep in your car and not the caravan. They can be loose on the site if they don't chase chickens otherwise on a lead.
CHECK IN is in day light hours only as the site is hazardous.

Tracebridge Sourdough is a small community bakery my husband Gordon and I started in 2008. Gordon has retired from the daily bake but we still teach sourdough classes and run a popular Friday night pizza night. I teach classes on Fermentated Foods and Drinks here too. We enjoy meeting new people and have been hosting WWOFers and baking apprentices from all over the world for the last five years. We love good, locally grown, artisan food and spend alot of time talking about food and eating. We grow much of our own vegetables. We have chickens and pigs too.
