Stunning Victorian house in the heart of the Mission. Our peaceful, bright home combines original Victorian detailing with modern amenities. We're steps to some of the best restaurants and hangouts in the City, with easy access to public transit.
Our historic Victorian was built in 1889, one of the first to be built in the neighborhood. And we've remodeled…starting with super-flattering lighting everywhere (just about all our chandeliers and fixtures are on dimmers). The kitchen features marble and walnut countertops, Miele dishwasher and new refrigerator, and an adorable vintage gas range that's a heck of a lot of fun to cook with. We keep assorted glassware, dishware, and quality pots, pans, and staples that you may share. The house has wireless internet and Apple TV, supplemented with an old-school Sony radio in the kitchen. The bedroom is cozy and quiet, with an exceptionally comfy full-size bed. An expansive redwood deck in the back overlooks the garden and is ideal for a sunny breakfast or morning coffee, a little afternoon work, or a serene evening gathering.

We live here most of the time and only rent out the house when we're not around. We keep most of our personal stuff locked away in a couple rooms, but you'll have access to all you need—the bedroom, living room, kitchen, back room, both bathrooms and the big back deck.

Be aware that our parking is on-street (in front of the driveway) and you will be responsible for moving your car during street cleaning (Thursday mornings).
Please no parties. Be respectful of our wonderful neighbors and our downstairs tenants—keep the noise level down after 10pm.
We love to share our amazing kitchen but mind the marble! Wipe up any wine or acidic spills, please.
We're a non-smoking house. You may smoke out in front.
Phillip and I are a little bit city mouse, a little bit country mouse. We keep a small home in San Francisco as well as a farmhouse in Maine. When we’re not here, we’re usually there.
Some of our favorite things: twangy guitars; sun and snow; meandering bike rides; time to read; working in the garden…honest work. We’re both creative-y types. My day job is designer, but I dream of farming some day. We both keep studios where we paint and draw and stuff.
We’re blessed to have a little foothold on each coast, and the opportunity to travel across country a few times a year, often by car and with dog in tow. Shifting perspectives regularly keeps us from getting too complacent about anything.
And we love sharing a bit of ourselves with like-minded travelers. We strive to provide for our guests a warm and inspiring home base for exploring new corners of the world, and hope that our guests leave rejuvenated, with spirit rekindled.
