Otros aspectos destacables

We are very conscious of the need to preserve and protect the natural environment, so use as many means as possible to do this. Solar panels, heat pump water heater, careful conservation of water are some of the provisions we make to ensure this.
Internet and mobile phone access is generally reliable. However, in recent weeks the government has been installing the National Broadband Network, and the establishment of the new satellite to which we are linked has had problems quite beyond our personal control. We are also waiting the installation of a mobile phone tower which will provide better coverage - also beyond our control. What we do however offer is an ideal spot for relaxation, peace, tranquility, and an opportunity to have a break from the demands of modern communications technology!

Respuesta de Charmaine:
Thanks for your kind comments, Sally and Joe. I have added some information to my listing regarding the present difficulty with mobile and Internet connection. This problem is not ours alone. The great distances and comparitively sparse population of Country Western Australia can be both a blessing and a drawback. A couple of day's break from dependency on high quality modern communication devices will do wonders for your soul. During the hot summer months, living in the Australian bush will inevitably entail the odd ant, mosquito or bug invading our home. This in no way reflects the high priority we place on spotlessly maintained rooms. Insect sprays are made a available for guest use, should they need to. A balance had to be made between polluting our home and surrounds with health-affecting chemicals and being prepared to expect the odd creepy crawly.
