The setting was at the end of a street of neat, gardened homes in a suburban setting. Our host prepared for our arrival with provisions and notes, as if we were family. The note reading "please feed the birds in the morning" opened a wonderful aspect of the setting. A reedy marsh near the house provided habitat for birds, chipmunks, squirrels, and ducks, all of whom added a touch of nature impossible in a more urban setting. The kitchen was provisioned, and well equipped. Bed and private bath facilities were first rate. We got to meet our host in person and found we shared a lot of views and experiences. The house was about three-quarters of an hour from the center of Minneapolis and we found the freeways confusing due to construction. Watching the activities at the bird feeder was calming after some of the driving. Summary: Excellent accommodation, communication with host, provisioning, location, bird feeder.
