El alojamiento
The Tipi Haven is located on 3750 Road, off of Highway 133 between Hotchkiss and Paonia (right about at the 5-mile marker). Turn north onto 3750 Road and follow the signs to the parking area. Feel free to use the yellow wagon to transport your stuff from your car.

The 3 16ft tipis have a full IKEA foam mattress and the 20ft Hawk and the 24ft Bear each have 2 queen IKEA mattresses. We have a very few extra twin mattresses for $10. The 16ft tipis can accommodate up to 3 and the larger tipis up to 6.

Bring your own bedding or we have a few sheets and blankets available for $20.

There is a kitchen area with a propane gas stove and tables and chairs along shady Love Gulch for all to use.

We supply a percolator coffee maker, tea pot, pots and pans, dishes and metal cups.

We also have new solar showers for all to enjoy.

Let us know if there is something else we can supply to make your stay more enjoyable.

You are welcome to explore the whole property including the barn. This was once a Hereford bull raising farm and the fields grew oats, corn, alfalfa and hay to feed the cattle.

There is a large field for the dogs to play, and it is a great area for evening star-gazing under the dark sky. Please make sure your dogs respond to voice commands if you let them off leash.

The kitchen is a shared space with a 3 burner cook stove, table, chairs, cooking pots and utensils, cups, plates, linens, clean-up supplies, coffee percolator, tea pot and drinking water.

There are 2 composting toilets and we will supply toilet paper and hand sanitizer.

The area is lit with solar lights and we recommend you bring a flashlight.

Let us know if there is something you need that we can supply and ask!

Hotchkiss, Colorado, Estados Unidos

We are in a traditional farm community with the highest concentration of organic farms in the state of Colorado. The North Fork Valley of the Gunnison River is historically a fruit growing area as well as the West Elk AVA for high altitude wine. There are plenty of pick-your-own fruit orchards, wineries, and fresh produce to choose from as well as famous Colorado grass-fed beef near by.
South of us, about 20 miles, is the Black Canyon of the Gunnison River National Park where the rafting and hiking is outstanding.
Nearby Hot Springs: Orvis in Ridgeway, Avalanche Hot Springs, Glenwood Springs (3 hot springs), and Ouray Hot Springs. All are about 1.3 hour drive.
Aspen, Telluride, Crested Butte, Gunnison and Glenwood Springs are all within a 2 hour drive.
To the east of us are the cool mountains and to the west the dry desert....take your pick of landscapes.
