Private entry unit attached to main house overlooking small city park. 160 sq. foot 1st floor with kitchen (gas stove/full fridge) plus 140 sq ft loft bedroom climbed via ladder, plus full bath with washer/dryer. Fully furnished (linens/pans, etc).
While our house is 110 years old, this cottage is only 25, and was built by a contractor given the task of "creating the feel of a Vermont cabin." It is completely separate from our other unit on Airbnb ("Private entrance and central") and is self-contained, from the private entrance, to the bathroom, and kitchen. Queen bed in loft. Through your windows you will see lots of trees, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, and endless squirrels. Inside you will find art from the host's many travels, including India, Brazil, Mexico, Morocco, etc. We supply pots/pans/towels, as well as a rack outside your door with all sorts of mini-appliances. Just bring your clothes. Two caveats: First, if you don't feel comfortable climbing a ladder to your bed, or climbing down a ladder in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, this is not the spot for you. Second, while the first floor ceiling height is 7 feet, the upstairs loft ceiling is shaped like an "A-frame" roof, with the center being around 6 feet, sloping lower as you crawl into bed. Our first tenant of 7 years was a 6-foot female, who was quite content. Both her and our later tenant had regular-visiting boyfriends who seemed just fine without banging their heads. But, if you don't want to duck as you get into bed, this is not the spot for you. Two guests only - sorry, no extra guests.

Atención a los huéspedes
We live in the main house, and are here when you need us. But our guess is you want your privacy.
We follow the golden rule - treating others the way we want to be treated. We've had great experiences with our guests. Please don't smoke inside or be a party animal, drug user. We are quiet and considerate and look for the same. Sorry, no pets - we keep this property allergy-free for the next guest. We don't charge a cleaning fee, collect a deposit, and have the most flexible cancellation policy possible, as our experience has shown folks are considerate and treat our home as theirs.
Phil moved to Seattle in 1995, drawn by the music scene and great outdoors. He travels 3 months out of the year for pleasure, including Boston for the marathon and Burning Man to feast on the artistry/creativity of 50,000 folks. He does not own a car, stare incessantly at a smart phone, or live on a social network site, preferring the simple life. Andrea is a native of Italy and moved to Seattle in 1995, also drawn to the music scene and the splendor of the USA. He was worked in tech, owned a coffee shop, and been a translator. We share the same motto: treat others the way we want to be treated (making our american and italian catholic school nuns proud).
