Excellent apartment, outstanding ocean view, very clean and well equipped. Location is great with nearby restaurants and you can go for a swim just across the road. Air conditioning was a plus, since it was hot during the day! Filipa was a great host! For sure we will be back.

Super apartment with great views. Some noise from traffic but no more than you have to accept for living so close to the sea. Quiet neighborhood and a good base for excursions. For reference to what I am about to write..please read the previous reviews regarding the next door apartment being renovated and the ant infestatation. This booking was a sham and a disgrace right from the initial email. We are weary travellers having lived around the world now for going on 12 years. We were seeking a refuge and some unobstructed views of Mother Nature after living in a concrete jungle the last two years. These people lied to us in their correspondence, lied to us about the noise next door and lectured us on the importance of ants to the Eco system when we pointed out to them we didn't like them all over our food, in our drawers and in the bed. Upon checking in there was massive noise next door and we were told.." oh they are just finishing up some last bit of wiring".. next day after a full morning of pounding..I went next door..spoke with the tradesmen, saw that the entire apartment was down to bare concrete..completely gutted, went downstairs spoke with management and discovered that this complete renovation had been authorized and notices posted in two spots in the building and every owner knew this was going to happen since February. And get this..Filipa said the previous guest was " difficult". They lied but offered to move us once we confronted them with the real info. The move was from an unobstructed view of the ocean and a walk to everything up to a shabby little dump, 20 minutes up into the hills, completely isolated and with no amenities or view even close. When we turned that down..the owner actually said this." I guess the view you feel in the Britannia apartment beat the noise"... no joke..he wrote that to us..word for word...and on us complaining about the ants this is what he wrote..."
