Great for families with kids of all ages. Cottage on river was extremely relaxing. Cottage is basic, but it's reflected in the price. It has everything you need except towels and linens. You must bring those. We also brought fans which helped in the high heat. We had a great time with our 4 year old daughter and 1.5 year old son. Other renters were very friendly. We will be back soon!

The cabins are very simple, but tidy. Furnishings are older, but they aren't dirty or abused. The cabins are rustic and should be appreciated from that perspective. Don't expect a luxury 5 star hotel environment. The price fairly reflects this in my opinion. They have just added wifi to the cabin, which was a bonus. Cell phones (AT&T) did not work in the cabin. You can get service at the local shopping center. The local (5 mins away) shopping center has Hardester's (grocery), Mountain High Coffee (locally owned small business), and a few other business like a salon, pub, etc. A golf course is also nearby with a restaurant that had signs that said lunch was served. I also saw a sign for a new donut place, but did not try it. Bathroom - Remodeled since our earlier stays prior to the new ownership. This makes a huge improvement. Basic shower over tub, toilet, and vanity with mirror. Very comfortable and fresh. Exhaust fan helps ventilate. Kitchen - Basic utensils provided. If you do a lot of intense/gourmet cooking you might want to bring extra stuff like your favorite knife or nonstick pan. Basic pots, some bowls, and cutting boards were available. They had a french press to make coffee, no drip machine. We were happy to use what was provided. Bring your own spices, ziploc bags, etc. Bedrooms - Master bedroom has a queen bed, a chest of drawers, closet bar and two night stands. The second bedroom is similar, but has two twin beds. You provide your own linens or rent them from the owners. Mattresses are basic. Patio - The best part of the cabin is the patio, partially covered it has a picnic table and built-in seating around half of the perimeter. This patio overlooks the creek and and is semi-private. A great place to spend time with partial sun throughout the day so you have protection from the heat, but it is not dark or too shady. Creek - You can hear the babbling of the creek when the windows are open. Sometimes families play in the creek near the footpath. It is very serene. I observed a river otter, many birds, small fish, and many beautiful butterflies while gazing at the creek. The otter was the treat of our trip as I have come here on and off for 25 years and this is the first time I've seen an otter. You can find crawdads in the creek as well, if you go looking! A definite favorite for kids and mostly very shallow so easy to play in or walk in. Dogs love it too, at least mine did. Pool/Snack Bar - Tasty eats and non-alcoholic drinks can be purchased from the snack bar during pool hours. It wasn't open since we visited prior to summer season, but I've eaten there many times in past seasons. The pools are clean. They have two pools, a cold pool (creek water, very refreshing!) and a regular...

Pine Grove was awesome! Our sons loved splashing in the creek, picking (and eating!) blackberries and swimming in the pool. The cabin had everything we needed to be happy and comfortable for the 5 nights we stayed. Noah and her husband Joe were great hosts and gave us directions to an awesome local waterfall and swimming hole! Great family vacation spot!!

We had a wonderful time staying at Pine Grove with our two little boys. The cabin was right next to the creek, where we spent countless hours playing in the water. Also the 2 swimming pools were absolutely great and the grill house next to the pool had a good variety of food. The cabin itself was basic but had everything we needed, and couldn't be in a better and more relaxing location. Noah was extremely helpful and accommodating. We had forgotten a few items because we were traveling internationally, but she gladly helped us out. We will definitely stay there again.
