Our extraordinary place is close to Mt Lemon, Sabino Canyon, hiking, running, biking trails and riding stables.

El alojamiento
This a very special region of Tucson. The property is on an acre of Tucson land. The best part of the property is that it feels like the country, but is in the metropolis of Tucson. There is plenty of private parking and a separate entrance to your free standing private casita. You will have gorgeous mountain views and sunsets from the property. The large common area by the pool has benches that surround a bubbling fountain where often you will see red and yellow finch, as well as humming birds coming in for a cool dip. Sabino Canyon, Reddington Pass, Saguaro National Monument and Mt. Lemmon are easily accessible within a few minutes from this location.
Bears Path Casita is just off Catalina Highway providing easy access for cyclists, birders, and photographers.
For the birders around the world right from our back yard Gila Woodpeckers, Yellow Rumped Warblers, Cooper’s hawk, Turkey Vultures, Mockingbirds, White winged Doves, Mourning Doves, Mallard Ducks, Mexican Ducks, Lucy’s Warbler, Gamble Quails, Lesser Finch, Vermillion Flycatcher, Broad Billed Hummingbirds, House Finch, Ravens, Says Phoebe, Phainopepla, Road Runner have all been spotted.
Bicycle enthusiasts can enjoy 55 miles of riding pleasure on the “loop” designed for safe bike riding off the main streets all around the Tucson Metro area. We maintain some bikes on our property for your use while staying with us at the Casita including Mountain, Hybrid, and Beach Cruisers. While the one-acre property gives you the sense of being alone in the desert wilderness, there is a shopping area with grocery store and restaurants just half a mile away. There are 30 restaurants within three miles.

Tucson, Arizona, Estados Unidos

Southern Arizona is quite amazing. There is so much to see and to do. It is a place of wonderful natural beauty. Four mountain ranges surround Tucson. Six additional ranges are just to the south. All offer incredible scenery, golfing, biking, hiking, horseback riding, birding, and wildlife viewing. Tucson is also a place where four different cultures -- Wild West, Native American, Mexican, and Spanish have had major influences, creating historical sites and beautiful art. San Xavier Mission and Tumacorcori Mission are very different from each other (both dating back to 1700) and both fascinating and beautiful. Tubac is an "Artists Community" with incredible and unique art located about 45 miles outside of Tucson. There is also an interesting "Technical" aspect of Southern Arizona including attractions such as:
Kitt Peak National Observatory (one of the premier observatories in the World)
Mount Lemmon Sky Center, another Observatory run by the University of Arizona and just up the mountain from us.
Pima Air and Space Museum (again one of the premier of its kind in the US).
Titan Missile Base Tours
Bisbee Cooper Mine Tour
Biosphere II owned and operated by the University of Arizona
There are two caves: Colossal Cave, a dry cave with an interesting history from the Wild West. Kartchner Cavens a recently discovered wet (living) cave that rivals the best caves in the US.
There are fascinating museums: The Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum listed as one of the top in the Country.
The Creative Photograph Museum
The Native American exhibit at the Arizona State Museum
The International Wildlife Museum.
There is Old Tucson Studios where over 200 movies have been filmed
Old Tucson Studios has "cowboy" shows and stagecoach rides as well as some things for kids.
Tombstone has a wonderful museum and reenacts the gunfight at the OK Corral every day.
The Tucson Botanical Garden with an amazing live Butterfly exhibit with butterflies from all over the world.
Biosphere 2 just a short trip up I-10.
Reid Park Zoo with fantastic exhibits including a new elephant exhibit and American Alligators.
Tohono Chul Park (another Botanical Garden and very nice "Tea Room" cafe). So there is much to see and do here.

This property is certified by the National Wildlife Federation as a Certified Wildlife Habitat
