This is the best AirBnB that I've stayed in. (OK, I'm a Copenhagen-o-phile, which means I'm biased. But still, it was great.) The location is simply superb, just a block away from the old University buildings, and the apartment where Søren Kierkegaard lived. I don't think it is possible to be more centrally located while still having so much quiet and privacy. Second, I was actually shocked at how big the apartment is. It's four large rooms -- a bedroom, kitchen, living room, dining room -- plus a bathroom and a separate toilet. I was traveling solo, and it felt like a veritable castle. The ceilings are also around ten feet high, and the windows are something like five feet high, which gives the place a very spacious feel. I was also positively surprised to find that the apartment has several windows on both front and back of the building. The bed was large (king sized?), and extremely comfortable. The window coverings were good, so that it was nice and dark and quiet when I was going to sleep. I am high maintenance when it comes to my sleep environment, and I had no problems here at all.
But please be realistic about your expectations, for the apartment is in a very old building, and the building's age shows in some ways (such as some crumbling concrete in the hallway). If you're looking for Trump-style glitz and glamor, then you probably should go elsewhere (in particular, somewhere outside of Denmark). But if you're looking for an authentic old-Copenhagen experience, this has got to be the best option.
The host, Annette, is wonderful too. All in all, it was a great experience. Thank you AirBnB, and thank you Annette.
