The Community Cottage is our 1920's estate home with a collection of private rooms in the heart of Dallas (a few minutes drive from Downtown, Deep Ellum, Baylor Hospital, the Fairgrounds (+Cotton Bowl), Uptown, SMU, the Farmer's Market, Bishop Arts (Oak Cliff), the Cedars, Southside, & so much more. We love this home for all of it's original wood accents, built ins & floors, large yard, quaint conversation corners (including the coffee bar sitting area), & fast access to everything!

El alojamiento
You're about to book our room named Keller- perfect for 1-3 travelers staying together - a full bed and an optional twin futon (with mattress topper).

The Community Cottage Estate

Welcome! You’re considering staying at our 1920’s Tudor Estate just South of beautiful downtown Dallas. Those that love staying with us are traveling medical professionals (and students), concert goers, short term interns, busy professionals, Fair grounds participants, and avid vagabonders; of course if you don’t fit one of those categories, you are still welcome. Matt, my husband, and I purchased this historical cottage to be used for bringing people together. We love having friends and family over for dinner at one of our many community tables. We wanted to create spaces where people could come, chill, spend a little bit of time slowing down and relaxing. That’s why we created the coffee bar, outdoor living space, and front patio rocker. Matt & I are also avid travelers - having both backpacked, traversed, and explored a number of countries and states - asking locals for advice as well as accommodation and loving the relationships that have formed out of that. We may not make your acquaintance depending on your stay length, but we would love to give you a unique and fun place to stay; Most people love our original hardwood floors, baseboard and crown molding, some original lead glass windows, and historic old world charm in every room. The comfort and quality of your stay should be superb or above average and yet, some of our features are charming because of how old they are (and may not feel like the most modern and updated place). You will find several listings for our property’s bedrooms as we have a couple private bedroom suites with shared bathrooms available. If you plan to come with more than 2 or 3 in your party, please let us know so that we can see what other rooms we might have available to reserve for you. When you choose to stay here, you are supporting a number of projects and people that we care about. 1) In our businesses, we have a number of full time employees and their salaries and bonuses are paid for partially by Airbnb revenues; 2) We are also passionate about teaching entrepreneurship and mindset to inner city kids - you fund some of that project; 3) We invite students and friends and others that are in slim economic parts of their life to enjoy a Sunday lunch with us. 4) I, Chelsea, am getting a degree in Biblical Counseling - specifically focusing in Marriage Counseling. We pay for tuition through our revenues. We are also huge advocates of education and entrepreneurship, so if you have those backgrounds, you might enjoy checking out our book collections in each room. Room Names and Their Significance: Gladwell: Our large corner bedroom has a shared full bath right next door to it. It has a full bed and twin futon in the room as well as a desk. The humongous windows in this room make it the brightest room in the home, but the curtains shut allow some darkness as well!

The Fair Park neighborhood is a quick drive to downtown, seconds to all of the major arteries (I-30, I-35, 75, I-45, 175, Dallas North Tollway, etc). We live in a historical district - mansion-like homes that were built in the 1920's for downtown businessmen and merchants.

Welcome! I'm Chelsea! I'm a Counseling Student at Dallas Theological Seminary, and I host people at our historic home- a 1920's Tudor Estate in the heart of Dallas - just South of Downtown and close to all of the major parts of town. I also work with Keller Williams Urban Dallas - helping people find apartments to rent and homes to buy or sell (so if you or someone you know is moving to Dallas - we'd be happy to help). I love serving people, gardening, caring for my husband, Matt, having great conversations, and living this incredible life. I got my undergraduate degree from Baylor University in Business - Entrepreneurship & International Business; I, also worked for Southwestern Advantage (a direct sales College Internship that some know as "that book thing" for 8 years); I've lived in a number of states, spent an extended time studying in France, and I'm originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
