Rustic homey cabin nestled in the woods on the edge of organic farm fields. Cabin sleeps up to 4. Price includes hearty farm breakfast for 2 ($15 each additional guest). Watch sheep, goats, turkeys, and chickens wander outside the cabin window.
Our farm is half way between Boston and Acadia National Park. We lived on Mount Desert Island for three years so we know lots of hidden gems.
The cabin has a great feel of being connected to nature. It is cozy and a wonderful place to watch the sunset overlooking grazing animals. The cabin has two double beds, one is in a sleeping loft and the other in the newly-built first floor bedroom. We are a working organic farm, so farm tours (and helping with chores) are very much welcome! Farm fresh breakfast with cabin rental. The cabin does not have electricity or running water ~ it is cozy, relaxing and perfect way to experience Maine & farm life.
Bike tours available ~ Chris is an avid biker and has several bike loops he can either lead you on or just send you off with a map. ~ GREAT BIKING
Disponible para huéspedes
Guests have private cabin and outhouse. During the summer months we have a sun shower available & there are several places to swim (river, ponds & lakes nearby). Our water situation is such that we often run out with all the needs of the creamery, animals & household so we are sorry to say that indoor showers are not an option this time of year. Meals are served on the back porch when weather permits or in our dining room when it is raining. Guests can also have their meals delivered down to the cabin if desired. Fresh organic farm breakfast (made with ingredients raised on the farm) for 2 comes with the rental - additional guests are $15 per. We will be glad to provide other farm-raised meals if desired. Meals are healthy, farm fresh & delicious. We love children, but our farm is not set up for young children (less than 6 years old) so extra vigilance is requested.

Guests are welcome to watch/help us do farm chores & get a chance to hand milk if desired. The animals love attention & welcome inquisitive visitors. Chris & I love to connect with the visitors and share stories, but are also fine if privacy is what you desire.

Hi! We are a family of four from Maine. We own and operate an organic farm with creamery. My husband, Chris, works for the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association as the associate director/fundraiser. I work on the farm, milking the goats & sheep (in season), making cheese, catering as well as raising many different types of animals & vegetables.
We have 2 grown kids. Our daughter is in the Peace Corps in Nepal and our son is an engineer with Chrysler in Detroit. We love to travel together as a family & have done so many times, visiting more than 25 countries.
What do we like? We like to be outside, hike, ski, bike, canoe, swim... pretty much any outdoor activity ~ just walking in nature is perfect. We like to read, dance, meet people from all over the world (we are member of WWOOF (willing workers on organic farmers) & have wwoofed ourselves as a family. We lived in the Bahamas for 2 years. I love milking animals, making cheese & eating ice cream. We love to watch movies yet don't watch tv (other than Patriots football which we like to do as a family). I love to cook, especially with fresh ingredients. Our music tastes are diverse - Chris & I like country music, folk, classical, international music, reggae, and some light rock.
