Rustic homey cabin nestled in the woods on the edge of organic farm fields. Cabin sleeps up to 4. Price includes hearty farm breakfast for 2 ($15 each additional guest). Watch sheep, goats, turkeys, and chickens wander outside the cabin window.
Our farm is half way between Boston and Acadia National Park. We lived on Mount Desert Island for three years so we know lots of hidden gems.

~ GRAN BIKING

The cabin has a great feel of being connected to nature. It is cozy and a wonderful place to watch the sunset overlooking grazing animals. The cabin has two double beds, one is in a sleeping loft and the other in the newly-built first floor bedroom. We are a working organic farm, so farm tours (and helping with chores) are very much welcome! Farm fresh breakfast with cabin rental. The cabin does not have electricity or running water ~ it is cozy, relaxing and perfect way to experience Maine & farm life.

Bike tours available ~ Chris is an avid biker and has several bike loops he can either lead you on or just send you off with a map. ~ GREAT BIKING

Guests have private cabin and outhouse. During the summer months we have a sun shower available & there are several places to swim (river, ponds & lakes nearby). Our water situation is such that we often run out with all the needs of the creamery, animals & household so we are sorry to say that indoor showers are not an option this time of year. Meals are served on the back porch when weather permits or in our dining room when it is raining. Guests can also have their meals delivered down to the cabin if desired. Fresh organic farm breakfast (made with ingredients raised on the farm) for 2 comes with the rental - additional guests are $15 per. We will be glad to provide other farm-raised meals if desired. Meals are healthy, farm fresh & delicious. We love children, but our farm is not set up for young children (less than 6 years old) so extra vigilance is requested.

Hamilton Farm’s is just what you need to disconnect and enjoy Mother Nature at her finest. Patti and Chris were so warm and welcoming, we really felt like we were at a home away from home. We strongly encourage helping on the farm and meeting the goats and sheep. The breakfast each morning was a highlight of our stay. We couldn’t wait to see what Patti would cook up next.

Upon arriving to Patti's farm we were warmly greeted with open arms. Chris welcomed us into farm life right away with a tour and stories. As the weekend unfolded, we were cooked delicious breakfasts, shared stories, and received great local recommendations (with a hand-drawn map). The farm animals were cute and fun to be around. It was a perfect escape from the city! This is truly what an AirBnB experience is about, not only being welcomed into someone's home, but their world. It was more than a visit or a vacation, it was connecting to other experiences and wonderful people.

Patti and Chris were very warm and welcoming. Chris provided recommendations on touring options (Vinalhaven) and helpful details, such as free parking near the ferry terminal and restaurant options. The cabin was clean, charming and rustic. The breakfasts included their farm products and tasted great. Denali (hound dog) was energetic and fun to play with. The weather was too cold for solar shower so we were slightly disappointed. We loved everything in Patti's shop so we bought wool dry balls, bee wax candle, charcoal peppermint soap and lemon curd. Chris gave a brief tour of the farm's operation, feeding animals and collecting eggs, before we left. There is a brewery next door but we didn't get to try their offerings. Primo in Rockland is a must try restaurant in the area. I'd highly recommend the farm stay experience to everyone.

My boyfriend and I had a great time at the cabin on Patti and Chris's farm. We got to hang out with the sheep and goats and watch Patti milk them. We love animals so it was really interesting to be a part of it. The cabin was rustic but adorable - Patti decorated with a bunch of little arrangements of fresh flowers and battery powered hanging lights. The yummy breakfast was definitely a treat. Chris gave us a bunch of suggestions on things to do and places to eat. He even drew us a map. They were awesome people and we'd love to come back one day!

Chris and Patti have a beautiful farm with a secluded cabin that is a perfect country getaway. We loved the farm fresh breakfasts and the chance to learn about life on the farm. There were nice hikes nearby at hidden valley nature center and great food 20 minutes away in Hallowell and Damariscotta.

As rustic and perfect as could be. Set away from the main house, it was great for privacy but close enough to chat and enjoy a couple lovely meals. Nothing like a good couple nights spent in the woods and fields, and when a real bed and roof is involved, only makes it that much better! Thanks for the hospitality, directions and and great food. Best of luck on the farm!

Hi! We are a family of four from Maine. We own and operate an organic farm with creamery. My husband, Chris, works for the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association as the associate director/fundraiser. I work on the farm, milking the goats & sheep (in season), making cheese, catering as well as raising many different types of animals & vegetables.

We have 2 grown kids. Our daughter is in the Peace Corps in Nepal and our son is an engineer with Chrysler in Detroit. We love to travel together as a family & have done so many times, visiting more than 25 countries.

What do we like? We like to be outside, hike, ski, bike, canoe, swim... pretty much any outdoor activity ~ just walking in nature is perfect. We like to read, dance, meet people from all over the world (we are member of WWOOF (willing workers on organic farmers) & have wwoofed ourselves as a family. We lived in the Bahamas for 2 years. I love milking animals, making cheese & eating ice cream. We love to watch movies yet don't watch tv (other than Patriots football which we like to do as a family). I love to cook, especially with fresh ingredients. Our music tastes are diverse - Chris & I like country music, folk, classical, international music, reggae, and some light rock.
