This vintage rehab is just steps from the nightlife that Chicago has to offer! Comfortably fits 3 & is tucked away on quiet street, in the heart of Wicker Park. Enjoy a private room, with shared kitchen. Walk to the el/ rental car/ bikes. LGBTQ friendly.
Your guest bedroom has 2 West-facing windows, and has a full-size bed in a 1st-floor vintage rehabbed apartment in Chicago's Wicker Park. Central air and heat, wireless internet, your own bathroom, and full access to shared living room and kitchen. There is a backyard with deck and herb garden. The guest room is ideal for one or two guests, with another one fitting comfortably on the sofa. Or air mattress, but you might be a little cramped at that point. Towels and washcloths are available for your use.
I work from home, and am often around. I am happy to recommend places to eat as well as some off the unique non-tourist destinations around Chicago. Want to know the best place to sled in the winter? Where all the best italian ice is? Where museums that showcase medical science and oddities? I can provide that info!
We have two well behaved dogs that love attention. They are not ever allowed in the guest room, but are allowed in the shared common area.
Wicker Park is one of the hottest neighborhoods in Chicago, but also features plenty of out of the way, quiet places to just sit and relax as well. The Park itself is a short 2 block walk, and the neighborhood has a ton of boutiques, cafes, restaurants, and bars within walking distance. It's a short El ride to the lake and the loop. There is a Divvy bike rental kiosk at the end of the street.

Atención a los huéspedes
We interact with guests as much or as little as you wish. We try to be very hospitable, and am glad to sit down for a meal with you or leave you to your own devices, just give a heads-up as to what you prefer.
I always love to spend time with people who are creative, doing art, or are involved in interesting endeavors.
I enjoy getting to know guests, but am just as happy to let you have your space. If you need directions or want any recommendations for restaurants, bars, etc please ask!

Please send a reservation request instead of an inquiry. Dates book up VERY quickly, often 3-4 months in advance, and I cannot reserve dates without a booking. I typically receive 2-4 inquiries a day during the spring and summer months.
There is ample free street parking in front of the building and the blocks immediately surrounding it. Please check signs before parking, as some Tuesdays and Wednesdays are street cleaning, and the city aggressively tickets starting at 9am on those days.
For longer term guests (a week and over), I will supply you the first round of toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, soap, and cleaning supplies, but you must buy your own resupply on all consumable goods.

I'm a 4th generation Chicago native, who has traveled the country many times over on a budget. I am friendly and hospitable to strangers, and believe that community is truly built one conversation at a time.
