Situated on 4 wooded but sunny south facing acres, this is a very inspiring little getaway.

El alojamiento
This new, modern design dwelling, is a bit of a unicorn in the land of creaky farmhouses. Built by a local artisan who went from building bentwood furniture to plywood plank flooring. The guesthouse is neat, clean, and new. Modern 2-story guesthouse with private sauna tucked into the woods, 12 minutes from the capitol city of Montpelier. Great restaurants, tap rooms, music and more. Adventure? Hike a peak, borrow the kayaks, mountain bike world-class trails, or enjoy urban adventures into Montpelier and Burlington. Take in a microbrew on the private porch with a great book, or sit by the outdoor fire ring.

Acceso para huéspedes
The guesthouse and sauna are completely detached from the main house and sit at the edge of the woods, across the driveway from the main house. It has a bright kitchen, sitting area, and bathroom on the second floor. Entryway, utility room, and private bedroom on the first floor. All yours...secures with a deadbolt, blinds on all the windows(though most windows face the woods anyways). Situated on 4 wooded but sunny south facing acres. It's private, but neighbors and Montpelier are close by in the event of an emergency.

Otros aspectos destacables
From November 1st through April 31th, WE REQUIRE ALL GUESTS TO HAVE AN ALL WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE. It is simply not safe for you or my neighbors if you are stuck in the middle of the road on an incline. The road is town-maintained, but somewhat steep until you get to the house, then it levels off by Vermont standards. Never a problem with 4WD/AWD.

Oh yes, the neighborhood: 12 minutes and 2 stop signs to downtown Montpelier, which houses the state capitol and an awesome, walkable downtown. Park once to hit the restaurants, teahouse, taproom, hardware store, and bank. There are many good, highly reviewed restaurants and a fantastic co-op, as well as a standard grocery store. The neighborhood is awesome...mostly 10+ acre parcels with single family dwellings. You can walk or bike the gravel roads for miles around. Skiing? Plenty of options: Stowe, Sugarbush and Bolton are an easy 45 minute drive. Jay Peak, Killington, and Burke are all about 80 minutes. They don't call it Central Vermont for nothing!

I'm a native Montanan, but have lived in rural Vermont for 14 years. I traveled the US extensively (all Lower 48 States), before settling in VT in 2001. Now that my child is of a more independent age, I'm looking to expand upon those experiences, through both my own travels and hosting travelers. I am a self-taught entrepreneur. I founded one of the first websites dedicated to collecting original concert posters at the dawn of the web in 1997. In 2005 I bought a vintage vinyl record store in Montpelier, VT which I then moved to Burlington. Burlington Records, is not your typical dusty bin record store. Featuring 16 foot tin ceilings and antique brick walls showcasing one of the top collections of original concert posters in the world, we often hear "this is the cleanest record store I've ever been in". My business partner now maintains day to day operations of the record store. Not an insular record geek, for me it has always been as much about art, history, and culture as it has about music. Most of my current travel is related to exploring art, and mountain biking. One love follows another. For the past few years my "day job" has been the Events and Outreach Coordinator for the Vermont Mountain Bike Association. I ride. You ride? Let's ride.
