Ubicación

Saint Anthony, Idaho, Estados Unidos

We live in a beautiful rural area close to many beautiful attractions within 60 miles. There is a crop field across the street and we have friendly, quiet neighbors. You have beautiful, unobstructed views of the Teton mountain range and of the Snake River as well as easy access to the main Hwy and many attractions. We also have frequent wildlife sightings!
We are 60 miles to the West entrance of Yellowstone (this May take an hour or longer if there is construction or lots of traffic), and there are many great places to eat and entertainment to enjoy in town (5 miles away), in Rexburg (15 mins away), in Idaho Falls (40 mins away), Jackson Hole (1.5-2hrs depending on the time of year), and Ashton (10 mins away). You may encounter construction or traffic at different times of the year so please check local traffic maps (google maps or local news channels like eastidahonews.com are a good place to start).

*This is an Idaho country home on the Snake River. This means we may see a wild animal or two and despite spraying for bugs, spiders, and other creepy crawlers every couple weeks, you may still encounter some small critters from time to time. Please leave doors and windows closed as much as possible to help prevent critters from entering the house. You may also encounter, at certain times of the year, earwigs if damp towels are not taken care of in a timely manor, wasps outside, ants outside, spiders, and mosquitos (which can be better or worse depending on when you are there). We try our best to prevent these critters from entering the house and we ask that you take the same precautions when staying here by trying not to leave or open doors up too much when they are really bad. We also have taken further precaution by hanging things in trees to help kill the mosquito population, please do not remove them and try to keep your distance from the trees they are hanging on. This property is still by a river so they will still be around in the summer months despite our many efforts. We provide candles and bug spray to help with mosquitos as well. Spring and fall are better months to enjoy this area usually. As the bugs and temperatures tend to be more enjoyable these times of the year. In the mountain areas a 1/2hr-hour away you will find less mosquitos because it tends to be a little cooler overall there. And some years they may just be worse than others. You may also enjoy different things at different times of the year depending on the current weather (you may even experience snow or hail in the middle of July). Some days it is windier than others, and we can have some pretty amazing rain storms in our area. We have beautiful blooming trees and lilacs in the Spring (anywhere from April-June depending on the year) and sometimes in early summer if the frost doesn’t get them. You may also see an occasional deer or moose wonder through. Rhubarb can be enjoyed in early spring and into July. In July/August months you may be able to enjoy raspberries, lettuce fruit trees and other garden items. Which can attract rabbits, birds, and even deer to the yard. Water sports such as floating in tubes is discouraged until after July 4th because of fast moving waters, and sometimes even later depending on the water levels that year. It can be very fast moving before that time and I would encourage you to ask about the current water levels during your stay before jumping in.
Some years we may experience fires up in the mountains or in different parts of the country that may cause smoke to blow into our area. This may not be an issue some years and other years it may be worse so please check local news channels to see if you are coming at a high risk fire time and be aware of the fire risks in the area and take caution. This is usually in the late summer months when it gets dryer in July/August usually, but sometimes into September.
This place is ever changing and you will be sure to enjoy a unique experience each time you come.
