Ubicación fantástica
El 100 % de los últimos huéspedes han valorado con 5 estrellas la ubicación.
Our guest quarters (a cozy, private apartment with kitchenette) is within the front of our 1890 carriage house. We're in the historic hill section of Burlington at the bottom of a very quiet, dead end street, yet a short walk to downtown and UVM.

El alojamiento
Our 1890 carriage house was converted to a house a number of years ago. The guest quarters are essentially a private apartment within the front our carriage house and consists of a bedroom, bathroom and separate sitting area with a day bed that we can make up as the spare bed upon request (please note there is a small for this- see details) . This living area also has a kitchenette equipped with a microwave, sink, electric kettle & fridge as well as a washer/dryer. There is a door that separates the guest quarters from the shared hallway & rest of the house (see photos). You'll find breakfast items (teas, coffee, juice, milk, granola, oatmeal) stocked in your fridge/cabinet. Help yourself! The bathroom has a stall shower. Cable TV, WIFI, radio/cd player. We now have a special unit (heat exchanger) that provides AC in the summer and additional heat in the cooler months that you can control to your comfort level. Fresh linens & towels are provided. Parking is directly in front of our house. Our sweet, quiet and friendly dog, Woody, is a cairn terrier~ a non-shedding hypoallergenic breed. He stays in our living quarters. Price includes cleaning fees. Airbnb's fee now includes VT state & local taxes.
We're looking forward to meeting you!

Acceso para huéspedes
For guests that may stay with us during the warmer months, please feel free to enjoy the gardens in the back and side yards. Enjoy that book in one of our lawn chairs or simply watch the birds come & go from our bird feeder and bird bath.

Otros aspectos destacables
We have a two night minimum throughout the year.

Parking is very tight on Tower Terrace so guests are allotted one space directly in front of our house. Other cars can find parking on S. Willard St.

Two people need two beds? We're happy to have the spare bed made up for any pairs not wishing to share the bedroom (i.e.- mother/daughter, siblings, good friends but not THAT close, etc). A one-time fee of $35 will be charged for making up the spare bed with fresh sheets in the sitting room regardless of how many nights (a week or one night~ same fee). We like to accommodate pairs of folks that may not wish to share the big bed. As this use is often spontaneous, this fee is often a cash transaction handled separately from Airbnb during the time of your visit. When there is a third person in your party, it is automatically added to the Airbnb fees.

We don't use the guest quarters other than getting our laundry done between guests. For folks with longer stays, we may need to toss a load in while you're out. We always ask!

We're a fun, relaxed & casual household and we love to travel. A family of four, we have two grown sons- one graduate living in Boston, the younger still in college. After playing lacrosse for Salisbury U in MD is now @ UVM & playing for them. My husband,Mark, (with a partner) owns & manages a local company- Vermont Energy. I'm a working artist/painter with a studio nearby and also teach (painting/drawing). We have a sweet dog (cairn terrier), Woody. I moved to Burlington in 1980 after graduating from Antioch college. Mark moved here from Madison a few years later. We both love everything this great town has to offer. The sense of community as well as the many cultural events offered. We both love the outdoors and take great inspiration from the farms, woods, lake, rivers, mountains and natural wonders that surround us.
