Christy was an amazing host. Responded to me right away with anything needed or asked. The house was very quiet and overall we had our privacy. Great experience for our first time using Airbnb. The bed and blankets were soooooo comfortable!!

Kim, this review only confirms all of our assessments of you as a guest and as a person. I don’t think anyone can honestly say that $38 a night for a newly remodeled room and bathroom is a ‘get-rich-path’ especially when you get a needy, demanding guest who does not either read the description and disclosures before booking or is just not in touch with reality. These days even the “Roach Motels” are up to $99 a night, plus tax! I have also been advised by other hosts and the Airbnb pricing app that my prices are too low. When I shared my negative guest experience with an Airbnb Super Host she said my price was too low and would mostly attract the low-class or undesirable element! To be CLEAR the only time you reached out to me was to complain and demand, and each time I jumped through the hoop as soon as I could to accommodate you, and when I tried to contact you to see if you were content with the resolution you ignored me. You are obviously a sad or angry person in life because I can think of no other explanation for your review. I gave you the opportunity to check out and go someplace that would make you happier, but you stayed… does that make sense? And making up the “old used razor” story is crazy, first, it is a shared bathroom so if there was someone else who was currently sharing the bathroom who decided to put their razor in the cabinet I can’t control that. What I can and do control is after each guest checks out the bathroom is cleaned and all products, soaps, razors, brushes, anything left is thrown in the trash. My listing clearly shows that a hairdryer is NOT an amenity so why would you be looking for one? I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with you. I don't believe that the other hosts could have been honest in their reviews of you (if they wrote you were a good guest). I did not want to sugar coat my experience with you because I thought it would be unfair to mislead other hosts deciding if they should accept your booking request. That is why I wrote what happened during your stay. You are not welcome back, and you may be the undesirable element that will finally convince me to raise my price. So, for those wonderful guests who were traveling on a student budget or a social security fixed income, they have you to thank for losing the $38 a night rate.

Sara, to start I would like to point out that during your 2 day stay (and the last 3 other guests booked in this room have simultaneously been booked at the same time as my other guest room was). It is interesting that my other air bnb guest room, that is in the same house, during the same time of your booking (and the last 3 guests bookings) had guests in the other room at the same time who have written very nice reviews commenting on how clean and quiet my house is. (See reviews at my other listing: "Wow 2mi to Magic Mountain Valencia2"). How is it possible that my guests staying at the very same times in the very same house could have such opposing experiences? The truth is, one person was a complainer and the others have jumped on the band wagon. To address your comments about the conversion in the room above you at 2 am, that was because my son and daughter were nice enough to wait up for you to make sure you got in ok due to your extremely late check in at 2 am! My cleaning crew had cleaned the house earlier on the day of your check in, so I guarantee there would not have been any dog hair or smell. Plus, my dogs do not go in the guest areas! I can't speak to the hair on your sheet, I did not see it nor was I told about it. I can only say they had been washed and put on the bed prior to your check in. I am confused what fixtures are not up or what is unfinished in the hallway or bathroom. I keep 3 rolls of toilet paper in the bathroom in plain sight. I did check on the soap etc. and there is a selection of it on the counter and in the shower to choose from. I am sorry I was not able to meet you personally. Since you were only staying 2 nights and got in so late both nights (around 2 am) and I leave at 5 am for work, we unfortunately never crossed paths. I am surprised though that when I texted you to check on how things were going for you, you never mentioned any concerns. Had I been notified at the time of any questions or concerns, I would have immediately taken action to rectify the situation.
