Charming house built in the 1920s. It has two bedrooms with queen beds and one full bath. Bathroom has been remodeled. Guests have access to the entire upstairs area of the home excluding the basement which is used for storage. There is a garage and fenced in yard. Great Location very close to downtown St. Paul with quick travel to Xcel Energy, Minneapolis, Airport, Mall of America and other attractions. It is convenient to most main attractions. In rush hour traffic it is still 10 min to Xcel.

Guest access

This is an individual private residence for the guest. The owner lives close in case of emergency.

Interaction with guests
I am close to the property about a 15 minute drive away and have a flexible schedule. I like to check guest in to make sure they are comfortable and respect their privacy.

Other things to note

With on-site parking a two car garage plus additional space if needed, this is the perfect house for a family or group. The home has a privacy fence.

Garage opens into backyard fence and is very private.

-Garage has a covered area that has been converted into an outdoor room with lighting and plenty of seating. Summers are the best time to enjoy the outdoor weather, however, there is a charcoal grill/fire pit that can be enjoyed in the colder months. There are lanterns that can be lit for mood lighting.

The home, in addition to having on site parking has a bus stop directly in front of it. Directly to the Light-rail from Saint Paul to Minneapolis. It takes about 25 minutes to get to the Mall of America. It is about 20 minutes to the airport. It is about 5 to 10 minutes from anything in downtown St. Paul. It is about 5 minutes to the Capital Building in St. Paul.
Uber and Lyft are both available for a small fee.

Acceso para huéspedes
There are two levels in the house and all are accessible to guests. The basement level I ask that guest not go into it unless they have prior approval. It is currently being used as a space for storage and there is a camera down there.
There is also a garage and privacy fenced in back yard with an outdoor sitting area.
Backyard has a charcoal grill/fireplace combo.
There is Amazon Prime and Netflix to enjoy. There is a Ring doorbell adding to your security.
please note due to guest damage bathroom is being renovated. it is almost finished.

Please do not enter basement it is used for storage and not included in the rental.

I have stopped giving guest access to laundry however if you need to use the laundry room it can be arranged.

Otros aspectos destacables
Lyft or Uber is sometime the best way to get to concerts and events downtown. It is a. Expensive way to get there an back without worrying about parking and traffic.
If this is your first time using Lyft you can download the Lyft app and request a ride. Please use my code AmyHopkins as a referral.
Uber is also a available please use my referral code
amyh32590ui if you decide to use Uber

Uber to the Xcel center downtown is 7.26. So going there and back without having to pay for parking is a pretty decent deal.

From the airport the approximate price is 25.00

My experience is that Lyft is a little less expensive but not a lot and Uber is very popular. My preference is Lyft.

About the neighborhood.

Best Undiscovered Neighborhood
St. Paul's North End - BY THE CITY PAGES
There's nothing pretty about Rice Street. Named after fur trader-turned-politician Henry Mower Rice, who is buried in the neighborhood's storied Oakland Cemetery (the oldest in the city), the street was ushered into its status as the central corridor anchoring St. Paul's North End neighborhood in the 1890s with the arrival of the street car, and it's still about as utilitarian as a street can get. Commercial properties were built quickly to serve the railroad workers moving to the area. The "mechanic's cottages" and other small homes built in the neighborhood to house these workers are similarly practical — Summit Avenue this ain't. But these homes have an unpretentious charm, and the North End reflects well its neighborhood's working-class background, ethnic roots, and rich labor history. Early North End residents typified St. Paul, and today the European laborers, tradesmen, shopkeepers, and domestics who gave the town its ethnic charm are giving way to Asian and Latino immigrants. Completing your blue-collar tour of the North End, check out Italian restaurant and banquet hall Abetto's, as well as Tschida Bakery, both of which have been in the neighborhood for over 80 years. Be sure to stop for ice cream at Conny's Creamy Cone, eggs and bacon at the Coffee Cup, or fried chicken at Tin Cup's. And for nightlife, enjoy a night of blues at Wilebski's.

The North End has a rich labor history dating back to the early 1900s, when many European immigrants moved to the Eastern neighborhoods of Saint Paul. Many of the neighborhood's businesses and restaurants can be found on the main road known as Rice Street, affectionately named after famous Minnesota politician Henry M. Rice.

The North End holds the Minnesota State Capitol Building at its edge and the Oakland Cemetery, where some of the state’s more prominent past politicians such as Henry Sibley, William Marshall and Alexander Ramsey lay to rest. The North End also marks the start of the Gateway Trail, an 18-mile trail that connects Saint Paul to the city of Stillwater, Minnesota.

As far as the best spots to eat in the North End, Mama's Pizza, Tin Cup, Wilebski's Blues Saloon and Cozy Kitchen all provide a unique atmosphere.

The hardworking mindset of the citizens and charm of the State Capitol and its surrounding attractions make the North End a truly unique Saint Paul neighborhood.

Looking for inexpensive accommodations and convenient transportation to Xcel Energy Center for the next Minnesota Wild game? With RiverCentre, Roy Wilkins Auditorium, the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, and other top attractions nearby, this area of downtown St. Paul near the Mississippi River is in high demand.
This home is a great way to save while being close to all the central attractions.

This is a spacious home and has some very historical charming qualities like dark wood and built in cabinets in the dining area.

Garage is seperate from the house but a garage door opener is available for your use while staying here. The garage is a two car garage but there is additional parking space on the driveway if needed.

Saint Paul, Minnesota, Estados Unidos

Great diverse neighborhood and in a central position. Great restaurants and shops within walking distance. Less than 5 minute drive to downtown St. Paul. Easy to get on the highways leading to Minneapolis. 15 minute to a 20 minute drive to downtown Minneapolis.
It is about 25 minutes to the Mall of America and about 20-25 minutes to the airport. I live close to the Mall of America and it usually takes me 20 minutes to get to the house.

The Oxford Community Center is the combined Jimmy Lee Recreation Center and the Great River Water Park - a year-round indoor water park. Besides the water park, this facility offers families a playground, four gymnasiums, a picnic area and several sports fields.

Oxford Community Center: Indoor swimming for family or single individuals ten minutes away
Great River Water Park is an indoor aquatics facility that offers families swimming lessons and open swim times. Life jackets are available to borrow for free, and there is also a children's activity pool. Daily admission is $6-$7/pp or $24 for a family of 5 (additional family members are $4/pp). Non swimmers are $4 and infants are free. Memberships are also available

Cost: $6/pp under 48″, $7/over 48″, $24/family of 5, $4/additional member, $4/deck fee
Extra savings: Four Dollar Sundays ($4/pp), Half Price Days on Mon & Wed, and Family Fun and Fitness Fridays ($2/pp one Friday each month).
Open Swim hours: Find all hours here.
Details: This Twin Cities indoor water park has a fun splashy activity pool for the youngest kids, two enclosed waterslides, a lap pool and diving boards — and the prices are the best in town. There’s a sauna, too, if you need to warm up (we find the water in the splash pool a bit chilly). Read about our trip to Great River Water Park here.

As a guest who has used Airbnb. I am very respectful of the property of others because of my experience as a guest. As a host I respect the person's privacy and treat the guest with complete respect. I give them complete privacy unless there is something that cannot wait until they leave needs repairing. My motto in life is if you fall down keep getting up no matter what. I would like to add that I had a guest destroy the bathroom leaving me with out of pocket expenses. If there is a negative review it is most likely from that experience. I would ask all guest to be respectful of my home. It took approximately a month to fix and left me with some negative reviews that Airbnb did not help with. I also was completely out of pocket for the expenses of the damage the guest caused. I had to redo an entire bathroom. If I ask certain questions I am just trying to make sure it does not happen again. I look forward to hosting you and if there is anything you may need please let me know. If I can accommodate the request I will be happy to.
