Dear Richard, Thank you for your review of The Studio. However, in light of your review, I would like to set the record straight on a few issues:
Firstly, upon your arrival we mentioned that the area was experiencing unusual thunder storms. It is unfortunate that both your nights in Underberg were plagued by these storms. Your second night more especially with a storm that lasted almost 5 hours! With regards to the 'tree nuts' (aka: acorns), we cannot control the amount that fall off a tree during a storm.
Secondly, we had 2 members of staff and my husband that were on site throughout the day after your first night, but you failed to contact any one of them to raise your concerns.
Thirdly, we also explained to you during the incident with the Wifi, that due to the storms and lightening experienced earlier that day, the router had been struck by lightening and was not working as it should. Being a Sunday, it made it impossible to seek spare parts. We endeavored to fix it, without 100% success.
So, I apologies that you were unhappy during your stay, due to weather conditions beyond our control.
