Thank you Jackie Broussard for the review and yes we have a few places and Semana Santa is the time for us not to be in Cabarete as there are too many people and it is nicer to be surfing by the sea with like minded people. But we do offer the house for a very reasonable price.
Also the people that benefit most from our places are people who are kitesurfers or want to learn kitesurfing... we have actually very seldom people that are not into watersports-cabarete is the capital of kite surfing, windsurfing and wave surfing, also for diving. We have 2 kite schools and make trips and have lot of adventures for adventurous people. People usually end up staying longer and really benefit from the trips, adventures and amazing kitesurfing experiences.
i was really wondering about not hearing from you but the reason i found out was that during semana santa the phone messages came more than a day later for the overcrowded phone lines, also the water problem was from the city, what the plumber did as to turn on the electrical pump that is only for use for emergency and is very expensive also to run. Dominican Republic is still considered 3rd world and general water outages and electricity outages are very common and almost daily. The problems are bigger during holidays, as Semana santa is the biggest holiday of the year and lasts 4-5 days and like the general street water was off almost 5 days and then it depends how big water tanks you have privately under ground and how much electricity you will put to pump the water.
Anyways thank you for understanding and i really did not appreciate your comments that are very typical to people who think that life in Dr is the same as elsewhere in the US for example, we work a lot to make it seem like this but in reality it is not.
Things happen like water is out, electricity is out and phone messages come days later, this is Dominican Republic and also fun because it is not as convenient as many parts of the world.
Also the pool is always refreshed when there is water from the town, the fact that it was not refreshed was also from the blocked water system and electricity outages to run the pumps which happened this only one time in the last 2 years for that many days during a crazy holiday party that lasts 4 days.
The prices are way too reasonable to offer you towels to take to the beach which even most of the expensive hotels do not offer and i was really not pleased of the way you were asking where were the extra towels for the beach as normally people have beach towels with them or buy them, we provide nice big towels for the house.
seems this was not a place for you and it can't be for everybody. :)
And you were one of the very few not to enjoy the stay to max like others.
and you were not our typical guest. Stay safe and happy!
Just for your future hosts - you have strong comments and demands for a reasonable priced stay in the private villa which is not a hotel.
