When Jerry instant booked the house, he wrote " after much searching, we settled on your house." In the listing and the reviews, it was clearly noted this house is a work in progress. The day before they arrived, I sent a message asking them if they had any breakfast preferences. Instead of getting a message back, I received an 'inquiry' from another account Jerry set up for the same space for a different day. In that message, he asked me to call him. When I called him from the other account information, he spoke of his dislike for Airbnb and that he would not use it again. He said he could not reach me and was very frustrated. So I had to cancel his inquiry and told him to express his issues with Airbnb.
Issues he raised. I have replaced some windows that have already been damaged. I have replaced screens. The house was built in the 60's and am trying to keep the original woodwork and big windows. I showed them which windows opened and which did not. I had closed them all as they wanted to use the new air conditioner I had installed. The bathroom sink and pluming are new and prior to them, had no issues. Instead of contacting me or letting me know, they used it as an issue for a review. I had just swapped out the tv and replaced it with a brand new smart tv so it would have more features. I will return the old tv in Jerry's honor. I was unaware that there were no hooks for the towels as I have never lived here. I will install them today! The people today that just checked out said " Everything was perfect! Thank you. I agree with Jerry and think that airbnb is not for him. He chose to to rate the space low instead of making me aware of things. They broke a wine glass and left a couple bucks with a note. I had to spend a fair amount of time hunting for glass as I found several pieces on the floor. I didn't note that in their review or note that they left a fridge full of their food because that is part of the this sharing concept. I wish them well but do not recommend them either.
