Detached house in Quinten-Au for up to 7 person. 5.5 rooms. Large plot in a unique position. From the terrace there is a wonderful view to the Lake Walen and the mountains. The village is car-free and only accessed by a charming short ferry boat ride.
Chalet at Quinten-Au, East Switzerland (lake "Walensee"/Flumserberge-Heidiland). Long-term rental or chalet sharing possible (alternating use by two or more tenants). Special price on request.
The south facing wooden chalet, in combination with rustic dry-stone walls, is situated in large and uniquely elevated grounds in a private car-free wine village at lake "Walensee". The grounds are located only 150 meters from the (gravel-) beach and from the harbour. They offer a nice panoramic view onto the lake and the "Flumser" mountains. There is a good connection to public transport throughout the year.
On the inside of the chalet, there is a cosy main living room with open fire, a dining table (with highchair for children) and integrated kitchen and a small bar. To the south, there are two big panoramic sliding windows/doors one of which opens up to the terrace which is paved with flagstones. The lush planting provides privacy and allows the terrace to be used as an "extended living room" during the summer months. A large electric sun awning offers shade if needed.
On the upper floor, there is a sleeping room with a double bed, a room with a single bed (+a travel baby cot) and a gallery room with two separate beds. The bathroom/toilet is also located on the upper floor. All bedrooms have their own sink and built-in wardrobe.
On the ground floor, there is a 4th bedroom with a bunk bed, sink and built-in wardrobe. There is also a storage & laundry room with washing machine, freezer, storage space for the garden furniture and a mobile charcoal grill. You can also hang up your clothes for drying.
The 8 cottages on the hill possess their own water corporation. The water which has been tested very recently is totally germ-free and tastes excellent.

Atención a los huéspedes
I am living in Vienna, Austria. Therefore, I normally have no personal contact to my guests. They can reach me, however, by phone at any time. In case there should be any technical problems, they can contact also the farmer in the neighbourhood, who looks after the house, when I am not there.
•You are free to use things in the house, but please put them back where you found them.
•Please take all your rubbish with you.
•By law, general rubbish must be disposed of in special rubbish bags (white bags with “fair play” in green writing). Once full, dispose of the rubbish bags inside the metal container that can be found next to the Farmer’s House just past the small shop on the way to the Quinten Au ship stop:
•Fair play rubbish bags cost CHF 2.- each. We provide you with 3 free bags. Should you need more of them, please leave the money inside the box with the red lid that contains 5 extra fair play bags.
•Glass (bottles etc.) and metal (cans etc.) can be disposed of in Murg West: after you get off the ship, take the first turn right under the bridge and walk to the street where you will see the recycling containers. Glass and metal do not need to be placed in Fair Play bags so it will save you money and help the environment to recycle these.
•Glass bottles (but not metal) can also be recycled just before the Seeshus restaurant in Quinten (Dorf) in the small hut with the “robot face”.
•It is expensive to have a cleaner travel to Quinten Au and it is important to note that the cleaning fee included in your booking covers changing and washing bedding, cleaning floors, bathroom, kitchen and sinks. It does not include removing rubbish, washing dishes, cleaning the Barbeque or the open fire. It also does not include placing items back where they belong. Please be aware that if the cleaner has to do any of these things he/she will usually need extra time to clean the house and, unfortunately, we will have to charge you for this.
•If you use the open fire, please ensure you remove all ashes and dispose of them in the silver metal bin outside the house. It does not matter if the ashes are still hot as this bin is heat-resistant and the only safe option.
SMOKING ALLOWED OUTSIDE ONLY
We hope you enjoy your stay and have a great time!
