El alojamiento
The House
La Nauze was originally a farmhouse, nestled on the outskirts of the village. Built during the 1800s, the house has high ceilings, huge windows and has a bright and airy feel. It is furnished with our quality furniture and artefacts, which show our appreciation of the home-comforts and our love of art and antiques. Four equally spacious double bedrooms are all equipped with air conditioning and central heating. There is one bathroom (with shower) on the first floor and one large shower room on the second floor. The spacious sitting room has an open fire, a TV with English programmes, DVD and CD players. There is WiFi throughout. Guests can dine indoors when it's cooler and enjoy the well-equipped cook's kitchen with American fridge and range style cooker.

In warm and hot weather, there are three spectacular terraces to enjoy 'al fresco' dining, catching the sun or watching the sunset at cocktail hour. There's a range of garden furniture for the poolside and large BBQ and outdoor dining furniture too.

The house is an ideal retreat for all seasons, with full central heating and cosy spaces to enjoy out of season.

In the summer the things we love doing include…
a morning stroll to the boulangerie for the best croissants around, a lazy lunch on the terrace, an afternoon water polo match in the pool...

In the cooler weather we enjoy...
seeking out new places to explore and finding a long lunch, walking our black Labrador, Rosie, by the riverside in the village, cycling locally finding new and challenging routes...

For your convenience...
The house has a Property Book which provides information about its gadgets and equipment to help make your stay go smoothly - it also includes lots of local information and recommendations on where to visit and what to try.

Finally
Cleaning products, laundry and ironing facilities and all linen and towels are included in the rental fee. Tourist tax is also included.

One well-behaved dog may be allowed by request.

Ubicación

Montricoux, Occitanie, Francia

The village has mini-supermarket, doctors' surgery, pharmacy, butcher, bakery, casual bar/restaurant, pizzeria and two more formal restaurants, all within a short walk. On Fridays the village market has a fabulous array of fresh local produce to try. The village is one of the most beautiful in the region with superb medieval buildings. The Averyon River skirts the village where the old castle houses the Marcel-Lenoir Museum.

A great fun summer 'must' is kayaking at Cazal, which takes you along a beautiful stretch of the Aveyron gorges. There are plenty of lovely spots for some fishing too. The local area has a programme of varied summer events, such as music and pizza nights, which are very hospitable. Nearby Bruniquel Castle is also favourite to visit - as is the bustling Sunday market at the historic town of St Antonin-Noble-Val, which takes place all year round.
