Lovely place convenient to the airport if you are a late arrival or early departure. That said, the house is located in a farming area and very quiet. In the morning, I had a nice chat with The neighbor who had his three dogs herding sheep to pasture. Would stay again.

Sue and Phil run an incredible bnb with comfortable lodging, wifi, amenities like fans and special breakfast blueberries all in a very welcoming and REALLY interesting home. They had beautiful views outside and interesting historical photos and family mementos inside. This felt like a true bnb in that they had books and games and lots of lounging space for guests. Even with other guests staying, it was quiet at night and we could see many stars! Evandale was walking distance so it was easy to see the beautiful town. We'll always treasure our time here- it was relaxing and very peaceful. Thank you so much!

We enjoyed staying at the adobe abode. We had the entire house to ourselves for the night, it was clean and well decorated and some food was provided for breakfast. Most importantly for us it was very close to the airport. Note that the place is a little off the main road and the surroundings can seem dark and creepy at night, but it was pretty thrilling for us to stay here :) Also (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps may not exactly direct you the house, it ends up being the house right next to where maps thinks it is. Overall highly recommend the adobe abode as a place to stay in Tasmania!

I had a wonderful time staying at Sue and Phil's. To chime in with the other reviews the house was artistically charming, clean and comfortable. There was a sweet dining area to enjoy meals set beside beautiful gardens. The house is as other reviewers mentioned conveniently a stones throw from the airport yet not in the flight path. The house is an equal short distance from the historically preserved town of Evandale in my opinion one of the prettiest towns on the island. Sue and Phil were lovely! Engaging, interesting, thoughtful and attentive. The house and grounds are set among acres of sheep pasture giving a remote feeling despite being close to the airport, shops and cafés. One Guest described the location experience as having the whole world to herself. For those who like to walk the property is set down at the end of a quiet rural country road. And for those who don't like to walk alone Ida, Sue and Phil's adorable Dog will be happy to join you, just ask her! A fabulous stay and highly recommended!

Adobe-abode was the perfect place for us to begin our travels through Tasmania. We arrived late in the evening and were greeted by Phil right away and shown to our room. Easy access to/from the airport, a spacious and comfy room, wonderful light breakfast items and amazing scenery. Sue and Phil are both lovely and friendly people. Would stay again!

An amazing bed and breakfast with so much charm. We were only able to stay for a short time because of such early flights but I would've loved to have stayed longer. The breakfast selection was delicious and Sue even made fresh scones. It was only minutes from Launceston airport which was convenient for us, but in a lovely rural setting so we were able to get a good nights sleep before our early rise. Will definitely stay at Sue's again if I am ever in the area.

A very beautiful part of the world, comfortable and relaxing. All our needs were catered for with a lovely warm fire greeting our arrival. The bed was especially warm and comfy. Sue was a wonderful host.

My husband and I have an old pearling lugger that we are restoring. It was built on Thursday Is. in 1928. We have 4 children and 2 grandchildren and a border collie/spaniel cross who loves to welcome guests by singing to them and going for walks with them along our country lane. …
