The listing description and title clearly state ‘1824 former farm house’, which means that in 1824, the house was a farm house. This is accurate, the house was ‘Higher Shorrock Farm’, which the road is now named after. Since the house was built (almost 200 years ago), naturally roads and other houses have been built around it.
Regarding your private feedback about the house being close to a pub, yes it is. That’s our local - we clearly state that on the listing and we actively encourage our guests to visit. Indeed, many of our lovely guests have befriended the landlord and landlady during their visits.
Our ratings for cleanliness are exceptionally high. We pride ourselves on our Superhost status which reflects this. We are sorry that our accommodation did not meet your high standards, but for the price (and considering we do not charge a cleaning fee), our accommodation offers excellent value for money for families who wish to stay together in a home-from-home and not in separate hotel rooms (the cost of which would be triple), or hostel accommodation (of which the price of this listing is equivalent to).
I found your private feedback rude and I hope you are better mannered with other hosts on the platform. Airbnb is a friendly community of people opening up their homes for others, please respect that :).
