However, we would also like to provide some clarifying information to assure you and our other clients about the situation.
We were there to greet you for the check-in as late as 3AM, despite the fact that the designated cut-off for a late check-in is 2AM - however, we do our best to accommodate unexpected circumstances, without any extra charge.
The driver for the pick-up service works for an independent company and payment is required upon completing the pick-up. As no currency exchange was available given your delayed arrival, we tried to come up with the best solution, which was I charge myself to pay the driver, and ask you to pay me back in dollars.
The total payment due to the driver (60 EUR) as well as for the late check-in service (20 EUR) and the city tax for the nights of stay (42 EUR) was 122 EUR. We had made the conversion together than night online and it was equivalent to 148 dollars, plus the commission that the bank applies for the service, and you had agreed to this amount, a total of 160 dollars (in fact, if you do the conversion now, you will see that the equivalent of 160 dollars it is actually quite a bit less than 122 EUR, so in effect we had lost money).
We further provided you with all other information requested, answered all questions fully, made sure you had settled in well, and did not get any indications from you that there had been some dissatisfaction with anything on your part until we saw this review.
Once again therefore, we apologize for any disappointment, however, we feel that we did our best to accommodate and welcome you despite the late timing and unexpected difficulties with payment and currency issues.
