To clarify for future guests:
I do not usually accept very long stays, but since Katie mentioned she'd be working a lot I approved the reservation. Katie was not at work very often, so I can understand why the bed was perhaps not up to par. The bed is not tiny, it is a normal single twin sized bed as indicated on the description of my room. No one else has complained about the bed as you may see. The refrigerator cools everything just fine, and I offered my refrigerator and freezer in my kitchen for her use if she wanted, which she did not take advantage of. She instead the same day she told me about the refrigerator, bought her own. If she wanted me to replace it, she never made this clear, especially by buying a new fridge right away.
I also tried to accommodate her long stay by allowing her to use my washer/dryer, which I do not typically allow any guests to use, as also indicated in my description. The price is on the low end of all airbnbs on Long Island, as you can see while browsing on airbnb, so I am unsure of what was actually expected. A discount was also given since it was a long stay.
Overall, I am glad she enjoyed her stay, she was very sweet. However, given the miscommunication mentioned, it is unfortunate she had these complaints I knew nothing about during her stay. For all future guests, please feel free to candidly speak to me about any issues and clearly state what you'd need from me to make your stay perfect.
