Dear Jill, thank you for your candid feedback after your most recent stay at my property in Lisbon. It was a pleasure to have you at the house. However, I feel the urgency to openly address some of your remarks as I feel they are very far from the truth and could potentially harm the reputation of my home. To begin with, I know Francisco offered to bring a hair dryer on the first evening. Unfortunately, you failed to answer to his message and I have given both Bernardo & Francisco clear instructions to not enter the house without previous confirmation from whichever guests we may currently have in-house. Given the above, he was left thinking you did not need one, at the end. Secondly, the temperature has been pretty standard in Lisbon and we had guests before you (and already have guests over again) and no one has complained. Again, we're all different and you might be more sensible to the heat but we've always felt that having the windows opened solved this. Rua da Paz is a very quiet street and I am sorry if you've found any noises to disturb you. I actually live in the neighbourhood myself and have never experienced noise levels where I couldn't sleep with the windows opened. The stairway light is indeed out. We are working tirelessly to have this fixed as soon as possible as this is an issue that affects the entire building, not only my floor. Should be fixed in a very short period. I have complete trust in both Bernardo & Francisco as very human and efficient hosts and I'm sure that if you look at their profile you'll see 100+ reviews with an overall rating of nearly 5 stars so I'm afraid that in this specific case you were treated as you treated them. We pride ourselves in offering a very modern, inviting and equipped home and have the man-service to go along with it. It's unfortunate that you didn't seem to appreciate our efforts and didn't behave in the most polite manner. Either way, we do hope you do come back to Lisbon on a future occasion and we would be very happy if you were to stay with us again as I'm sure you would not be disappointed. My best regards, Joana.
