Our apartment has a huge bright bedroom, with plenty of storage/hanging space, and a dressing area. There is also an additional full-sized double sofa-bed in the lounge that comfortably sleeps 2 adults. It is located right in the heart of Edinburgh, overshadowed by the Castle, and next to the Grassmarket which offers a wide array of pubs/restaurants/shops. 5 mins walk to Royal Mile, and 10 mins walk to Princes Street and Waverley Station.
Our apartment is just a stone's throw away from Edinburgh Castle, and makes a great base for visiting the city. It's located right next to Grassmarket, a thriving hub of activity including pubs/shops/restaurants, along with numerous street performances and street markets in the Festival. It is only 5 mins walk to the Usher Hall and Lyceum Theatre as well as numerous other festival venues.
A short stroll along the Grassmarket brings you to Victoria Street, which is filled with boutique shops and restaurants, and leads up to the Royal Mile. For stocking up on groceries, there is also a Sainsbury's supermarket, just 2 mins walk from the apartment.
The apartment is bright, spacious and comfortable. In the large double bedroom there are plenty of drawers and wardrobe space to fit in everyone's clothes. In the lounge, there is an additional full-sized double sofa-bed (with memory foam topper). In the lounge there is also a flat screen TV with many TV channels, free fast speed WI-FI internet, and a few books/magazines to entertain you during your stay. In the bathroom there is a powerful (mains water pressure) shower and a bath.
We have a well equipped kitchen, with all the appliances and utensils you need should you wish to cook at home (including microwave, fridge/freezer, and a Nespresso coffee machine). It's just been renovated so is an updated and better version of the kitchen you see in the photos (I'm just waiting for the new photo's to be taken). As part of the renovation I have a dishwasher, so no washing up needed whilst you're on your holidays! There is separate dining area off the lounge, with a dining table and chairs to seat 4 people.
100% cotton linen and fluffy towels are all provided for all guests, and the laundry/cleaning is all done for you. There is also a washer-drier for washing clothes, and iron with ironing-board should you need them. Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, and milk are provided so you can have a 'cuppa' to help you settle in when you first arrive. We also provide a few other basics (such as salt, washing up liquid, cloths, washing powder) to avoid you having to bring everything with you.
My housekeeper and I have both lived in Edinburgh for many years so we can provide local advice and knowledge to make your stay run as smoothly as possible. Once booked, I'll send you lots more information to guide you to all the best bars/restaurants, and we leave a basket of leaflets/fliers/takeaway menus in the apartment to give you more ideas.

Atención a los huéspedes
For flexibility, we operate a key safe entry system, whereby you are given a code to access the keys. However my housekeeper, Simon, is on hand in Edinburgh should you have any problems. We also provide a summary of local information once you are booked and leave lots of useful tourist information in the apartment itself.
We hope you enjoy your holiday, but ask that you treat our apartment with the respect you would treat your own home. If there is a breakage, please report it straight away (rather than waiting to the end of your stay), so that I can make the arrangements to have it fixed ASAP.
Please don't walk on the polished wooden floors in high heels, and wash your dishes before you leave.
I am from Cheshire originally, but moved to Edinburgh for University in 1993....where I met the love of my life, James! We married 11 years later in 2006 and now have a little boy, Joseph.....who is gorgeous. Having lived in Edinburgh for many years we have recently moved away to be nearer to family; leaving our beautiful home available for others to enjoy.
We love travelling and seeing new places, so we try to provide our guests with the sort of friendly/homely feel we'd like ourselves when we're away. Edinburgh is a fabulous city that will always have a place in my heart - we really hope you enjoy it as much as we have done.
