The Cottage is a cozy studio style guest house in Downtown Greensboro. This is a thoughtfully furnished, comfortable, and immaculate apartment in the heart of downtown. Lots of light and private. Easy, independent check-in/out w/ electronic lock. This is a studio apartment with two beds--a queen sized murphy bed, and a queen sized sofa bed. It is best suited for singles, couples, or people that feel comfortable sleeping in the same space.
The Cottage is quaint and homey, clean and comfortable and centrally located, but also quiet and very private. Walk to all the best that Downtown Greensboro has to offer. It will feel like a home away from home!
If The Cottage is not available for your desired nights, please consider checking out our other apartments--The Studio, The Suite, and The Platinum.
If you are visiting the area for High Point Furniture Market, our downtown apartment is about a 7 min walk to the Biltmore Hotel Furniture Market FREE shuttle pick-up and drop off. You can fly into the airport, take a taxi to the apartment and then use the free shuttle each day to get to Furniture Market and back, eating out at the many restaurants a few minutes walk away. A great way to save $ on a rental car--you can work/visit the furniture market each day and enjoy downtown Greensboro each evening!

Please access the guidebook that I have created to help you navigate downtown Greensboro and beyond like a local. Look at the guidebook for my apartment, The Suite in Downtown Greensboro (which is right next door). You need to download the AirBnb App to have full access to the guidebook.
Please note that there is NO washer/dryer in The Cottage. Iron, ironing board, and distilled water are provided for you if your clothes need pressing.
Laundromats are located nearby. We have games, board books, a pack and play, stroller. and some other things that will make life easier for families traveling with small children. These items are available upon request and are not normally stored in the apartment.
IMPORTANT: When using the murphy bed, stand in front of it and pull on the hardware firmly and slowly to chest height. Then with one hand, bring down the feet of the bed--there is a foot on the right and left side. After feet are down, then bring the bed down.
When stowing the murphy bed, pick the bed up gently, RETURN the feet to the original position, and gently guide the bed to close. IF you do not return the feet back to their original position, you will scratch the murphy bed and will be responsible for the repair.

My life has taken me around the world. Besides the USA, I have lived in Taiwan, England, Japan and Germany. I enjoy learning about other cultures and learning languages.
I was a public elementary school teacher for about a decade specializing in early literacy. I am lucky that I have a wonderful husband and am now a mom to an amazing boy.
I love being a mom, fitness, traveling, reading, cooking, dancing, singing karaoke (badly), eating healthfully, and learning to live more eco-consciously.
