I'm from Flint, Michigan and I've lived all over from New York, NY, to Squamish, BC, Canada. I love to travel and recently my husband and I bought an old VW Bus. We love to take the bus to the coast and camp under the trees.
My husband and I bought the house last summer, and we are remodeling it to fit our many dreams. While being as eco-friendly as possible, wherever possible we use recycled or reclaimed material for our remodeling projects.
We are both entrepreneurs and our many endeavors keep us pretty busy! I have a clothing company (Bob knits), in which I hand knit accessories, home decor items and even baby blankets.
I am also the founder of Apples to Applesauce a non-profit dedicated to ending child hunger by ending food waste. My husband Tom makes furniture and does custom metal fabrication. During the week he is a tig-welder and builds brew tanks for breweries. For our wedding he made 35 benches, 12 tables and even his ring.
We remodeled our lower level into a private apartment so that our friends, family, and Portland visitors could have a home away from home.
