My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in Florence. Location-wise, you can't ask for much better. It's just a few meters away from the Duomo, and the streets nearby are littered with gelato shops. Wanna take a stroll around the Duomo or some of the lively plazas nearby? Wanna do it with some gelato at 1 am? No problem! You can do it here!
We stayed in room 3, which doesn't have the best view of the Duomo on the floor, but it does still have it. The room is spacious, pretty, and has ensuite bathroom. The shower drain is slow to get the water moving out, so no long showers here. But the water pressure was great, and the water heats up fast and stays warm for a long time.
A drawback to the location is that it gets really (and I mean really) loud at night. We brought earplugs so it wasn't a problem for the first night, but we wanted to make sure we heard the morning alarm for our last day, as we had to wake up early to catch the train. So no earplugs. But this is in the heart of Florence, so you sick it up and just enjoy your time anyway. That's we did.
Other things that are great about the location:
Walkable to the Uffizi Gallery.
Walkable to the leather market (we didn't buy anything there).
Walkable to the indoor food market and food court (we bought a good amount of stuff here)
Close to the very lively plaza (not sure of the name, but it has a carousel). There's a guy who plays a handpan (one of my favorite instruments) and it's great to see him play live, at night, in Firenze.
If you don't mind the late night (happy sounding) noise, I definitely recommend staying here.
