Cosy white harbor in a green suburban heart of Brussels - and a 15 minutes trip to Brussels Central. Overlooking an open square between a parc and church, this fully equipped comfortable apartment has everything to bring you a comfortable stay.
The apartment is recently fully renovated (2015), the building dates from 1910. Covering 60m2, and south-west orientated with balcony, it offers a big open space with living room and kitchen, 1 bathroom (shower/bath) and 1 bedroom (queen size bed). White walls, parquet floors, high ceilings with typical decorations.
Ideal for a single person or a couple. When a third person or 1 or 2 kids come along: the size of the sofa in the living room matches a perfect single bed.
Also for expats this is an ideal hub. Since Brussels has many international companies, (such as EU and NATO, only 4km away) this can serve as your temporary home away from home. Also Belgian broadcasters, such as VRT and RTBF are in the 4km radius.
Schaarbeek is a community just north of the city centre. Trams, buses and trains are all within 5min walking distance from your doorstep and can take you to Brussels central (station, Bozar, Grand Place) in 20 min. Parking your car is possible in the neighborhood: it’s easy enough to fin a spot in front of the door at the square. You can reach the highway within 10min and get to Antwerp or Ghent within the hour, and the Brussels Airport is close by with tram or bus, or a 15min drive.
Brussels is a buzzing city, filled with a rich local and international history and life. As a community Schaarbeek has many assets that can enrich your stay in this city and combine the capital’s rougher character with a more tranquil side of a green suburban vibe. The direct surroundings - literally from your doorstep - combine a spacious art deco & belle epoque avenue with parc and fountain at the rustique Schaarbeek train station, with a more multicultural suburban centre with all the shops (bio-shop & supermarkets; every monday the square hosts a covered market before noon) and facilities (bank, post) right around the corner.
** Highlights of Schaarbeek are: * a walk in Parc Josaphat, * a visit to the TrainWorld museum and brasserie at the Schaarbeek station (little fact: the first train who drove on Belgian ground left from here), * meandering around the art deco and belle epoque avenues and houses, * brunch at L’Estaminet, * dinner at L’Ane Vert, * a visit to les Halles the Schaarbeek, * a concert at Le Botanique or * an aperitif in Hotel Bloom. **

Otros aspectos destacables
One minor: the communal hall still needs to be renovated - it does add to the fresh ‘arriving home’ feel when you open the door to the spacious and bright living room :) Who can handle a bit of sloppy stairway up until the 1st floor, be welcome
