In 2008 myself and the Loural co-owner Francisco were amazed by the effect of Loural and its beautiful secluded valley on us. Loural was an abandoned hamlet with about 15 houses, stables, sheds a water mill, bread oven and little electricity, river-running water and no sewage. Ever since then we have been working on reviving the community life that once was here, and to provide the possibility to many others to experience the effect of Loural. My 'specialities' in the vast range of tasks that need to be done to accomplish this, are a lot around planning and organising, seeds and plants, interior of the houses, and many of the marketing activities. I truly enjoy this 'life work', I learn a lot about so many of life's aspects while doing it, and hope, in the near future, to be spending more time in Loural myself.
