This experimental and highly sustainable greenhouse has been featured in the New York Times, other newspapers, blogs, magazines, books and has had several tv appearances in the past 2 years. It was build by students for research purposes. We temporarily live here as a test family. Living here is an unique experience and has changed our way of living. Come and find out for yourself what it is like to live in a greenhouse.
The house is build with al eco-bio materials. Mainly wood and loam. the greenhouse protects those materials from the elements of nature. Water is heated by heat pipes. The house itself consist of 3 bedrooms, a living area, kitchen, bathroom and a toilet. There are 4 different greenhouse area's. The indoor patio, the rooftop greenhouse where we grow our own vegetables, the terrace where we cook. And the garden accessible from each and every bedroom.

We have a very friendly house cat. Who likes to stay outside most of the time. But does come in for some food and a good pur when being talked to or padded. This house is an experimental sustainable eco building. Staying here is an unique experience. Some things work different than in a normal house and require explanation upon arrival. ( heating, warm water, cooking).
