In the center of Baku. Very close the Bulvar. Many shops and places to eat nearby.
We didn't meet Murad but he has his co-host helping us out during our stay. Murad is reachable at any time. He will reply if you have any questions. This is an old-ish apartment but it was worth what we paid for. We even extended our stay with no problems at all. Murad is so laid back and easy to communicate with. The space has one sofa bed and one single bed, Wi-fi was stable throughout our stay. Kitchen was basic and we had enough stuff to prepare our daily meals. If you need anything more, just let the co-host know, they will provide it for you. There is a supermarket about 10 minutes walk where we got our groceries from and a restaurant/pub just outside the apartment with cheap beer and food. This location is a bit away from the main city centre (old town, fountain square) but transport is easily available (Bus, Uber, Taxi, Metro). The closest Metro station is Xatai which takes you to 28th May station and is super cheap (0.20azn). This apartment is located near the waterfront/promenade (they call it the Boulevard) and it's a long stretch that heads to the centre. Good place to walk, jog and relax. A lot of locals especially with families hang around the boulevard especially in the evenings. Recommended if you're on a budget trip to Baku.
We didn't meet Murad as he is abroad but he put us in touch with his family members (co-hosts). It's best to get a local number to get in touch with them. Two of the co-hosts we had can speak English. It's an older apartment that's good value for money. Wifi was decent enough for us. Basic kitchen. We were asked if we needed anything else, they brought us a frying pan, a pot, frying spoon etc (you can always ask the co-host anything you need for the apartment, I'm sure they can provide it) Location is 5 minutes to the sea. There is a long and big stretch of promenade and park suitable for runs and relaxing walk. About 30 minutes walk to the centre (there are transport available, you can ask the host where to catch the bus or you can take Uber, we prefer to walk). It's also next to a main street. You can hear the traffic but it's not disturbing. There is a building site in the area but can't hear anything from inside the apartment. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it as we find it good value for money.
I love meeting people and making friends. I am friendly and compromising in any situation. I traveled a lot.
