Mary was a wonderful host! She was great at communicating in the lead up to the trip so it was easy to arrange our check in time even through our plans were a little up in the air. The room was homely and comfortable and had a water jug by the bed, two towels each and a hairdryer. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. The shower isn't incredibly powerful but does the job. If you're looking for modern luxury, this isn't the place for you but if you want a comfortable stay in a family home then this ticks all the boxes. The breakfast was all set out for us in the morning with gorgeous orange juice, tea or coffee and a choice of cereal or toast and a lovely brown bread. The highlight of our trip was Mary's homemade raspberry and forest fruit jam which was to die for and highly addictive and the also delicious plum and apple jelly that her sister in law had made. Mary was friendly and approachable throughout the stay but also respected our privacy. She provided us with tea and coffee and cake on the first night and we had some lovely chats and got advice and recommendations. Much thanks to the wonderful Mary. We would definitely stay again.
