In Zee's place, there are undisclosed surveillance cameras in the in the living room, dining room, and outside of the entry door. I can understand the necessity of monitoring cameras outside the front door of the host's house, but having cameras inside the unit made us feel that we were being recorded and watched every time we were in those so called "common areas". The existence of these cameras are not disclosed to guests. We just happened to see them on our second or third day of staying there. The other thing that's not disclosed in Zee’s airbnb page is the proximity of her house to the railroad tracks. Her house is literally next to one of the busiest train tracks in California. These tracks not only service freight trains, but all sorts of other passenger trains as well. These trains came at random times during day and night hours and made it very difficult for us to get a good night sleep while we were there. We could not even close the windows to muffle the noises a bit, because there was no air conditioning in our rental unit. The absence of air conditioning is, by the way, disclosed in Zee's list of amenities and we knew about it. A heat wave hit California for three of the days we were staying at Zee’s. So, between the horrible noises of the trains, the heat wave, which turned our unit into an oven, and the constant noise of running water leaking from the faucet in the shower, we could not get any sleep at all for three straight nights. The airbnb staff should look at the communications we had regarding the leakage of water and noises of the trains with this host. On September 8, I was out all day with my daughter helping her to get ready for a long distance biking expedition, when I got to my unit at 1:00 AM on the morning of September 9, I noticed that there was no water in the bathroom. I checked my e-mail and noticed that the host, Zee, had sent a message earlier that night informing me that the water to the building was turned off and I had to find accommodation elsewhere for my last two nights. She had said that I had to talk to the airbnb people and find out if they would help me do that. I called Zee, at 1:00 AM on the morning of September 9; she answered the phone, but after a minute of talking about the water issue with me, she hung upon me. She had known about this water leak in the bathtub since we checked into her unit almost 12 days before. I and my daughter had sent her two messages regarding the leak to which she had responded “I know about it and I have scheduled a plumber to fix it on Sept. 10”, which was the day we were supposed to check out. Breakfast at Zee’s was...

Hi Habib Thank you for your candid review. I'm sorry you had this experience. Please allow me to clarify all complaints systematically.  In Zee's place, there are undisclosed cameras. Security cameras are very much 'disclosed' and for the safety and security of all the guests. Having cameras inside the unit made us feel that we were being recorded. Cameras are in plain sight and pointing directly at main & side entry door only for your safety. The existence of these cameras is not disclosed to guests. They are clearly disclosed under “Other things to note”, point #9  Not disclosed in Zee’s airbnb page is the proximity to the railroad tracks.  It is disclosed under “Other things to note”, #10. Her house is literally next to one of the busiest train tracks in California. Unless you can present some data backing this point Sir, your above statement is deceptive. These trains came at random times during day and night hours and made it very difficult for us to get a good night sleep  I respectfully gave you option of cancellation without penalty on the first day. You chose to stay.  Habib: With regards to your giving us the option to seek accommodation elsewhere, it is a generous offer, but we will be staying here for now for all good things offered. So far, the noise level has not been too bad, but if it becomes intolerable, I will, of course, consider your offer at that point. Thanks Habib  Aug 29, 2017 A heat wave hit California for three of the days we were staying at Zee’s.  Again, apologies, I cannot control California weather. I did however inform all my guests and have always provided them with a 18" fan & cold water to stay hydrated.  noises of the trains, the heat wave, and the constant noise of running water leaking from the faucet. Airbnb offered relocation and I did everything by the book. You are more than welcome to confirm.  I got to my unit at 1:00 AM on September 9, I noticed no water. I checked my email and Zee, had sent a message earlier informing me that the water to the building was turned off and I had to find accommodation elsewhere She had said that I had to talk to the Airbnb. Per Airbnb, they called you around 3pm and informs you about water situation. They said that you were aware and choosing to stay.  I called Zee, at 1:00 AM on the morning of September 9; she answered the phone, but after a minute of talking she hung up. As I recall your 1am phone call was disgruntled and disrespectful for nearly 25 mins at the end of which, you Sir hung up.  Airbnb was still waiting and willing to relocate you.  Hi Habib, as per Airbnb, you have been notified of the plumbing emergency and the urgent need for main water shut off through the house. I am told as for now, you are choosing to continue with your reservation. I did place some water bottles under the fruit table. Please contact Airbnb directly if you have a change in your reservation. Regards  Sep 8, 2017 She had known about this water leak in the bathtub 12 days before.  We noticed the minor faucet leak the night before you were checking in. I called the plumber who said it would take up to two days to fix. He also said that the shower was functional so, I scheduled the repair post your checkout.  I and my daughter had sent her two messages regarding the leak Significant difference between the casual leak and busted pipe. I acknowledged your casually mentioned leak and planned repair on Sep 10th. The repair of the shower cost me over $800. The shower handle was pushed and pulled forcefully several times causing the welding joints to crack. I had to replace the entire shower system, bathroom tiles, and wall. Any considerate human being would've seen difference between a leak and a burst water line and reported it sooner to prevent water wastage and damage to property.  Breakfast at Zee’s was... I offer coffee, teas, juices, oatmeal, fruits and a variety of breads and jellies that all previous guests have enjoyed, surely you did tooHi Habib Thank you for your candid review.
