Trewetha Cottage, historic city break in centre of wells and just newly restored and renovated and furnished.
This unique property is set within a beautiful medieval street located just one minute's walk from Waitrose supermarket, shops, cafes and restaurants and boasts breathtaking views of St. Cuthbert's Church and the Almshouses. Some parts of the cottage are roughly 400 years old, with original beams and winding staircase.
The quiet private courtyard with a stunning view of St Cuthbert's Church makes this retreat an exceptional city break. After entering the front door, there is a lounge/diner with a beautiful french antique table to dine from and comfy sofas to relax. The wooden beams look striking as you enter the room and the woodburner gives the room a cosy feel. From the loung is the kitchen and downstairs toilet. The kitchen then leads out onto a little conservatory with cushioned wooden seating; the double doors open out onto the private courtyard. The winding staircase from the lounge leads to the bathroom with a slipper-style bath and easy-to-use shower. Opposite the bathroom is a double bedroom with a medieval stone fireplace which was found during it's renovation last year. The master bedroom has a king size bed and an apex ceiling and boasts view of St. Cuthbert's Church. The second bedroom is the smallest of the two and is for single occupancy.

Trewetha Cottage was restored and refurbished by myself and my wife; we love Wells and the location of the property is ideal for trips to Wells which is why we want to share this historic home for others to enjoy - visitors can see the photos of the project left at the Cottage in a book. We are living close to Wells so we will be dedicated to making your stay comfortable and welcoming.
