Beautiful, warm and tastefully decorated one bedroom apartment in the heart of Juodkrante village surrounded by sandy dunes and the pine forests of the Curonian Spit national park. It's only 15 minutes walking distance from the finest wild beaches of the Baltic sea. There is a good selection of restaurants and cafes in the vicinity and numerous points of interest to visit. The famous 'Hill of Witches' outdoor sculpture gallery and the breath taking lagoon-side promenade is just 2 minutes away.
There are number of options available for getting to Juodkrante and travelling around Curonian Spit:
Car - you can take a ferry from Klaipeda (new ferry terminal) which will bring you to Smiltyne on the other side of Curonian lagoon. It's a very quick ferry trip taking less than 10 minutes. Juodkrante is 20km away from Smiltyne which will take about 20-30mins driving after you leave the ferry. Follow road signs to Nida and Juodkrante will be the first village you'll come to roughly half way between Smiltyne and Nida. The cost of Ferry is around €10 for a passenger car for a return trip. There is also a fee for bringing a car to Curonian nature reserve (so called 'ecology fee') which is €20 in high season (20th June to 20th August) and €5 at any other time of year.
Bicycle - many visitors choose bicycles for their travel to Curonian spit. It has great cycling path network which is mostly separate from the main roads making cycling very safe and enjoyable. If you're travelling from Klaipeda, you can use either old or new ferry terminal and bring your bike with you. Once you get across the lagoon it is roughly 25km and 20km cycle to Juodkrante from the old and new ferry terminals respectively. Cost of ferry is under €1. There is also a boat that brings passengers and bicycles directly to Juodkrante from the old ferry terminal in Klaipeda. The boat travels twice a day during summer moths and the trip takes only 1 hour. You also get to enjoy the scenic views on Curonian lagoon on your way. Price of boat travel is €10 per passenger and bicycles can be carried free of charge.
