Dear Guest, FACTS: - You called at 17:36 saying you'll arrive at 18:00; - We said that the housekeeper was there so she could welcome you; - However you arrived at 18:24; - You got the building door open, took the elevator and knock at the apartment's door by 18:26; - Nobody answered, neither on over the phone nor at the door because the housekeeper came down to look for you and was with us on the phone; - She was with you at 18:36 so 10 minutes later; - She was the housekeeper, her English is very poor, but better than a keys-safe and holding a mobile that she could use to call us for free, if you need to clarify anything; - She checked you in but you did said a word about founding something wrong; - You only complaint about linens and drain in the next day but you said you resolved it so there was nothing to be shown proving that you were right; - The drain could be true, it happens everywhere, everybody knows that, even in hour own homes; - But linens were clean; - I'm 100% sure about that because I brought them myself, along with the towels, from the laundry and they were fresh and clean; - As I told you, I'm not saying that it was impossible they had stains because they were in the laundry bag, closed but this didn't mean dirty; - However, if you did not feel comfortable with them, you should have told us and we would change them in a minute; - You said you decided to wash them yourself so, again, you clean the proof; - I'm glad to hear that a guest coming for 3 nights broght soap to the washing machine... - We are quoted on (Website hidden by Airbnb) with 9,2 in 10,0 and on (Hidden by Airbnb) with 4,5 in 5,0; - The guest before you gave us 5 in 5 here on Airbnb (everybody can read is review); - We felt since the beginning that you are a "professional traveler"; - The proof? Hi Cyril, We regret what happened but even more your review that we'll just answer with facts so all guests can make their own conclusions. Lets go straight to facts: - Cyril booked 3 nights, from 31/08 to 03/09; The price was € 95 per night; - On the 02/09 (so on his last night) at 21:23 (Saturday evening) he sent an SMS saying that "... only a limited hot water is available..."; - "Limited hot water" does not mean "No hot water"; - If this was a real issue he should have call, not send SMS on a Saturday evening; - This is a self catering apartment, not a hotel so we don't have handymen working 24/24 neither a reception service 24/24; - He said he didn't have hot water for the last 2 nights; - If this was truth he should have complained about on the 01/09; why did he wait until 02/09 at 21:23, just 12 hours before the check-out to complain about? - We know that hot water is an important amenity but, has he said, he had "limited hot water"; - Has a compensation we offered him 4 hours extra late check-out; - We went there at 12:45, so 1h15mn before the check-out time agreed and took the gas bottles to change but he said it was no need because they will be out in one hour; - We noticed that he already took a shower and was dressed to go; - That's the reason why we didn't changed the gas bottle with him in the apartment because we had it downstairs but we wanted to let him free before he goes; - Anyway, how much costs a hot shower? - Taking the hot showers in the beach as a reference, you can have a 10mn hot shower for €1; - How much cost the apartment per hour? €95/24h = €4/hour on average; - We offered him 4 hours; - We offered him €16, enough money for 16 showers. - He doesn't reccommend this apartment because he runned out with "limited hot water available" in August, 13 hours before the check-ou time and he has been offered, FREE of charge, 4 hours late check-out with the handyman going there to fix the issue 1h15mn before the check-out...
