Due to the reverse floor plan of this newly constructed home, you will feel as though you are living in a modern treehouse.
The kitchen, living room, and the upstairs deck give you peeks of the Pacific and Jockey Cap rock through the spruce and fir. Vaulted ceilings in the upstairs living space combine with generous west facing windows to fill the room with brightness and the green of the surrounding trees.
Open the front door to find a welcoming entry hall, complete with a sweet little spot for reading. Patio doors bring in plenty of natural light, and give you access to the downstairs deck. Off the entry hall to the south is the first bedroom, with a queen bed and west facing windows.
Next to this bedroom is the downstairs bathroom, one with a large shower. The laundry closet is located just across from the bathroom for easy access.
To the north side of the entry hall is the second bedroom, this one with a king bed. Another comfy chair gives you a second downstairs spot for reading those good books you’ve been meaning to get to, and the west facing windows in this bedroom bring in not just light, but also a lovely coastal breeze.
Gorgeous wood stairs and copper hand rails lead you to the next level, where you will find a wide-open living space. With the living area on the north side of the room, you’ll find plenty of space to relax and watch a movie. Central to this great room is the dining area, where the dining table faces another west facing deck. Whether you’re savoring your morning coffee or relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening, this deck will call to you, guaranteed!
A lovely open kitchen sits at the south end of the room, complete with an island and bar stools so everyone can hang out with the cook. Whoever volunteers for KP duty will be able to stand at the kitchen sink and enjoy the blue blue ocean.
Anchors Away has a hidden secret – so consider this a spoiler alert! While it’s great planning to have an upstairs bathroom just off the kitchen, the surprise comes from finding an old-fashioned claw foot tub nestled inside, painted lipstick red to make you smile with pleasure. What heaven – to take a long soak after a day on the beach!
Speaking of the beach, access is just two short blocks from Anchors Away. Located at the corner of Cedar and Highway 101 in Arch Cape, you’ll walk west toward the ocean to Pacific. Turn left and walk to the end of the block, which is Shark Tale Lane. Turn right and walk straight ahead past the Beach sign and there you are on the ocean shore!

General Information - Our check in time is 4 pm and check out is at 11 am. Our office is located at 115 Sunset Blvd. in Cannon Beach. If you are coming from the North on Hwy 101, Sunset Blvd is the second exit into Cannon Beach. If you are coming from the South on Hwy 101, Sunset Blvd is the third exit into Cannon Beach. Our office is on the left hand side of Sunset Blvd, just before Columbia Bank. Our office hours vary during the seasons so give us a call ahead of time to obtain current office hours.
Guest Requirements - You must be over the age of 25 in order to rent a home from Beachcomber Vacation Homes. This Reservation cannot be transferred to anyone else and subletting the home is prohibited. The contracted guest is the responsible party for all intentional or malicious damage done by anyone in their party including structural damage, damage to furnishings, theft, unnecessary maintenance, and the need for extra cleaning beyond what is normally required at departure. Our homes are in neighborhoods that have full-time residents so please be courteous with parking, outside activities, lights and noise.
Cancellation - If you need to cancel your reservation, please contact AirBnB right away
Number of Guests and Cars - Anchor`s Away has parking for 2 cars and will sleep up to 6 guests when the air bed is used. Each home has a rental permit from either the city of Cannon Beach or Clatsop County that regulates how many guests may stay and how many cars are allowed to park. If more people stay at the house than permitted, then such is a violation of this Guest Reservation Contract rental and constitutes grounds for immediate termination and eviction. No RV`s, 5th Wheels, or campers are allowed on the property
Pets - Anchor`s Away is not a pet friendly home. If a pet is found in a non pet friendly house without prior notice and consent, then such is a violation of this Guest Reservation Contract and constitutes rounds for immediate termination and eviction in addition to a $250.00 fine.
If you have an ADA service animal please let our office know right away so that we can make special arrangements in the event that you have chosen a non-pet friendly home
High Chairs & Pak N Plays - Both High Chairs and Pak n Plays can be borrowed from us on a first come first served basis. Please let us know in advance of your arrival if either one is needed.
Left Behind Items - If you leave something behind in the house please give us a call right away. If we find it we can mail it back to you, with the shipping charges dependent on the size and weight of the package.
Guest Responsibilities at Departure - Please do not strip or make the beds or start any laundry. All that is required is that you load the dishwasher, take out all of the garbage and leave the house reasonably clean and in order.
Smoking - There is no smoking (neither tobacco or marijuana) allowed in any of our homes. If you smoke outside please do so at the appropriate distance from the home and dispose of your cigarette materials appropriately. If anyone smokes inside the home, then such is a violation of this Guest Reservation Contract and constitutes grounds for immediate termination and eviction. You will also be subject to a minimum $250.00 cleaning fee.
Supplies - Beachcomber Vacation Homes supplies bed linen, towels, kitchen towels, bath mats and rugs, paper towels, toilet paper, tissue, garbage bags, hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, and coffee filters if needed. Please bring your own beach towels as the towels in the home are not meant to be taken to the beach.
Trash - Please place all garbage and recycling materials in the cans provided. If you have excess garbage, please bag it and let our office know when you depart so that we can pick it up. Your trash day will be noted on your refrigerator door.
Smoke Detectors & CO Detectors - Please check to see if you detectors are working and call us immediately if they are not so we can replace them. Batteries can die at any time and we want you to have a safe stay with us.
Key Codes - All Beachcomber Vacation Homes have a key-less entry system. You will be given your code at check-in, or if you plan to arrive after our office hours, we will call you with your code. The code will not work until 4 pm on the day of your arrival and will deactivate shortly after 11 am on the day of your departure. If you need a little extra time for departure, or if you are arriving earlier than 4 pm, please give our office a call and we’ll try to accommodate you if we can.
Unforeseen Circumstances - Even the best made plans can hit a snag and renting a vacation home is no different. If your home becomes unavailable due to plumbing, electrical or heating issues, roof damage or anything else beyond our control that makes it uninhabitable, we will try to move you to a comparable home. If a comparable home is not available, Beachcomber will give you the option of receiving a refund or choosing an upgraded home, subject to availability. If you choose an upgraded home, any increase in rental rate will be your responsibility.
Indemnify and Hold Harmless - Guest agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the owner and Beachcomber Vacation Homes and its officers, directors, agents and employees of and from any and all claims, , causes of action, damage, lawsuits, judgments, including attorneys fees, and costs, arising out of, relating to, or in connection with the reservation and/or use occupancy or rental of the home or property specified in this Guest Reservation Contract.
Legal - In the event of a breach of this Guest Reservation Contract or dispute concerning its interpretation or enforcement, the losing party shall pay the prevailing party’s costs, expenses, and attorney fees incurred.
