Kiss me over the Garden gate is an heirloom cottage flower. And like many of the plants of this arid landscape, our garden and the apartment itself emphasize efficiency and minimalism with a dash of whimsy and charm.

The apartment is located in the original footprint of my house which was built in 1905. I live in the newer addition adjacent to the apartment. One wall separates the old from the new. Outside in the yard guests will find years of gardening experiments...not all fruitful. But feel free to pick a pea, a head of broccoli, or a ripe tomato.

Some rooms are add-ons built over the years and the oldest and smallest bedroom may require guests to duck when stepping through the doorway. The bed room has curtained windows which conceal bushes and an apple trees where birds perch before landing at the pond for a drink.

The shower is also miniaturized, but will still accommodate most people comfortably.

In the floor of the larger bedroom guests will find the foundation of a wall that once divided the space into two rooms; the two tiny bedrooms of the original 1905 house.

The apartment is adjacent to a children's splash park and there is an opportunity to take walks along a creek which flows nearby. A stay with us will take you back to a simpler time.

The apartment features an efficiency kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, toaster, Induction hot plate, and small commercial sink which reflects my many years in a commercial kitchen.

I am a collector of art and you will find folk art, western art depicting the western frontier, and some religious art on the walls.

Enjoy eating breakfast next to the pond and in the evening watch the sky darken revealing the glow of the Milky Way. Feed the gold fish and listen to the chime of church bells from the Catholic Church across the creek. Stay with us and enjoy some of the simple pleasures of life in a small town. Relax and enjoy.
