The bus stop for Edinburgh is also a 5 min walk away on the High Street. There are other bus stops for other areas in Fife in Boreland Road which is also a 5 min walk in a different direction.
On the high street there is the Fife Farm Shop which sells local and organic produce from Fife. There are various local pubs and a couple of cafés on the High Street. There is also a good local fishmonger (H.S. Murray) and a butcher’s on the high street along with a couple of bakers and Scotmid. There are a couple of bike shops where you can hire bikes and there is a great bike path that goes all the way to St Andrews through the coastal route.
A 5 min drive away is Dalgety Bay where there is a Tesco Metro and an Asda. Louie Brown’s is a great place for cocktails and food.
North Queensferry you have The Wee Restaurant and in Aberdour (which is a 10min drive away) there is the well known Room With A View and plenty bars restaurants, silver sands café and the awarded silver sands beach. Various bars and restaurants in South Queensferry too which is just passed the bridge but accommodation is a lot more expensive there.
