Located in the quaint & historical Yates St. residential neighbourhood in the centre of downtown St. Catharines on the Niagara Wine Route, this century home is steps from beautiful Montebello Park (host to Wine Festival & Ribfest ). "The Place on Norris" is a fully renovated century home complete with all the amenities to enjoy your visit to Niagara. Whether sitting on the porch or enjoying the private backyard oasis, our "place" will make your stay enjoyable. With living spaces split between 3 levels, the house will accommodate up to 12 guests with ease. Longer stay guests can enjoy all the benefits of the fully furnished home including, washer & dryer, large kitchen & dedicated work space for the working travellers.
There are 4 bedrooms located on the 2nd floor which all share a bathroom that has a separate tub and shower. One bedroom has a king bed and 2 of the bedrooms have queen beds and the smaller bedroom has a single bed with a single trundle bed pullout underneath. The other sleeping area is located in the finished basement where there is a bathroom with a large shower. The basement area is one large space with a queen bed, a twin bed and a seating/couch area that can also be used as 2 single beds.
The main floor has a 2 piece bathroom with a washer/dryer. The large open concept kitchen is equipped with a fridge, gas stove, toaster oven, dishwasher, microwave & coffee maker. There are enough dishes to accommodate a group of 12.
There is a lovely large park across the street called Montebello Park. It has a playground for young children. It is large enough to fly a kite, throw a ball around or have a picnic. There are some picnic tables throughout the park. This park is also host to celebrations throughout the year.

We are long time residents of Niagara & have resided in the neighbourhood for 23 years. We live next door to the property and will make ourselves as readily available as possible to respond to any requests from our guests. Having a wealth of knowledge, contacts & experience in the Niagara area, we're able to help you make the most of your stay.... whether it be a restaurant or winery recommendation, cycling, jogging or hiking trails, or shopping...we are happy to share.
House rules in brief: no smoking, no parties or gatherings (with people not registered), no loud music, no noise at all after 11 pm (we love our neighbours and it is a town by-law), no pets, and no more than 12 overnight guests. Occupancy Conditions 1. Liability: You accept full responsibility for all damages caused to "The Place on Norris" (inside or outside), including all content. The Property Owners are not responsible for accidents or injuries to occupants, or loss of personal property of any kind. Occupants are responsible for the safety and security of all persons both inside and outside of the premises, at all times during the rental period. 2. Loss or Damage: We reserve the right to charge for any loss or damage assessed upon departure. If extra cleaning or sanitizing is required over and above what would be considered normal wear and tear, a fee will be charged automatically to your credit card to cover the costs and a detailed description will be supplied. 3. Quiet Enjoyment: In accordance with St. Catharines by-laws, ‘quiet time' for the town is 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, we ask that you respect this by-law. In addition, we require that at all times all occupants behave appropriately and respect our neighbours. 4. Parties: We do not allow weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, parties of any other sort, or gatherings other than with those on the occupants' list. 5. Non-Smoking Policy: Absolutely no smoking is permitted inside the premises. 6. Pet Policy: No pets allowed. 7. Candles: No wick-burning candles are allowed. 8. Furniture: Please do not rearrange indoor furniture. 9. Information sheet/residence policies and rules: Upon arrival an information sheet will be available for your review. Please ensure you read and agree with the information sheet, policies, and rules. Contact us immediately if you identify any residence deficiencies so that we may address them at the beginning of your stay. 10. Reservations are non-transferable. The person who books the reservation must be the person checking into the residence.
