We are located in the heart of Kagawong, a 3 minute walk to Lake Huron and 10 minutes to Bridal Veil Falls. Enjoy all the village has to offer, or use this central location to easily explore the cultural and natural beauty throughout Manitoulin.
It's the people that make our town really special. We're happy to help you in any way we can so you can feel at home in our house, and in the village!
The Whiskey Hill House is named after a storied former resident, who loved to drink whiskey on the bluff behind the house. The house itself was built in 1896, however, you’ll be staying in the new addition we created a couple years ago. You are totally separated and can easily come and go as you please with your own private entrance.

Relax in your room and take in a book about local history, or play a board game. There is a private bathroom directly next door to the bedroom, which guests have sole use of. When you are here, you don't have to stay inside. You can enjoy the garden space and wildflowers as you BBQ your supper.
Otros aspectos destacables
Guest should note that there's a workshop next door where guitars are built, so you might hear some machines and music during the day as things are created or repaired.
Also, we have a dog, Dolly Parton, and a cat, Willy Nelson, who won't be in your space but you'll definitely meet them.
Children are awesome and very welcome. Please note this space is not baby proof and there is no television. Let us know if you are travelling with a child and I will do my best to answer any questions.
Hi! I'm Meg. When I'm not travelling and hosting, I'm an elementary school teacher. The "we" I'm referring to involves Matt, who is my guitar building partner on the property. Music is a big part of our lives around here, as is enjoying the natural beauty all around us. You could say that trees, stars and Lake Huron really get us going, so I know we're in the right place. As a traveller, I want to experience the realness of the area and the people, not the tourist traps. As a host, I'm laid back and happy to help, so you can get a feel for the amazing place that is Manitoulin Island.
